Worked right out of the Box! Happy Soldering!
It came in a little bag with all the parts I needed to solder on. I accidentally soldered the power supply pins the wrong direction but there was still enough space to attach the pins on the wrong side! take a screwdriver and open the gates before soldering it so you can tell the correct side. Also the board has a little box so you can make sure to attach the led controller ribbon the correct orientation as well. I connected it to my raspberry pi zero and it can power a 32x64 led grid. I got the suggested 5v power supply with it. I got an error on my pi when I tried to start it with everything but the 5v power supply connected. Then I unplugged the pi and plugged in the 5v and that was enough to power everything!

Five Stars
Easy to assemble kit, worked great with the HUB75 displays.

Works great with my Raspberry Pi 3 and Matrix board
Installed this for my project to make a scoreboard I can use in my mancave. Super fun project. It works for most LED matrix boards but be sure to look it up prior to purchasing matrix boards. Cross-reference them with GitHub discussion boards to see if they would work.

Best RGB Matrix Hat
Adafruit hits another ball out of the park with this RGB Matrix Hat. I am building a 16 x 164 RGB Matrix to show the time and the local bus schedule for my wife. Easy to put together and attach to the Raspberry PI. You can see the build hat in the pictures I have included. The screws and spacers do not come with the hat. I added those. As a plush they have included a Real Time Clock. Great Job Adafruit!!!

Great hat! Must solder the gpio plug onto the hat.
The hat makes for easy interface with your pi. A lot of folks are using their pi to control lights for the holidays. This hat is plug and play. The only concern is that it comes with the plug unsoldered. You have to solder the the gpio on to the board. Easy peasy. Great hat! No over or under current. Lots of safety features to protect your pi.

Easiest way to use a HUB75 panel
Using this Pi Hat is far easier than wiring by hand. There are several other boards out there but this one is the easiest IMHO. If using this this hat be sure your panel is a HUB75 panel not one of the other types of panels floating around out there.

So far, one R-Pi dead and another shows "low voltage"
Powering the Pi3 is supposed to work through this hat, but I constantly only get around 4.8V feed to the Pi and hence a lightning bolt shows up indicating low voltage. Powering an old Pi3b resulted in a burn-out - just booting the Pi, not using the LEDs - albeit they were connected. Magic smoke resulted and it's now DOA.

Perfect for prototyping projects.
Perfect for prototyping projects. This is far easier for fast wiring [compatible] panels that traced direct GPIO connection. All pi demo projects Performed as expected. Though my C programming is crap and I’ve had limited success with my own compiling and running programs.

Parfait pour s'ammuser avec des plaques à DEL RGB
Un matériel fonctionnel et bien documenté pour faire de l'affichage à DEL.

Fun to play with!
Had a lot of fun with this. Was able to make signage and even send video to it. To be fair, the video didn't look to good, but that was due to the pixel count of my LCD panel, not the hat. Used it with a Raspberry Pi 3B+

Funktioniert einwandfrei
