Car Wash Business 101: The #1 Car Wash Start-Up Guide Paperback – December 7, 2011

Although I have never been in the car wash business I have owned and operated a number of businesses including restaurants, bars, and most recently a construction company which I sold a few months ago, and I am now retired. On a recent trip to Florida I found that the small town I was in did not have a car wash, and the wheels started turning. I began looking into the car wash business and bought this book. Good decision! Based on my years of experience in starting and operating businesses, it is my opinion that this book lays a good foundation for researching the feasibility of a car wash business. Having worked with franchised businesses, I recognize that the site evaluation plan is pretty much what the large franchise companies use in site evaluation. The business plan/financing package is also very good. I think that Buzz Glover did an excellent job with this book and that reading it should be a part of the research done by anyone looking to get into the business. Obviously it does not provide all the answers, since so many factors are site specific, but it is a very good framework. I recommend this book highly.Bill

There is more in the book than I thought! I am still going over it. As a serious man who is looking to purchase a car wash ( I have the down payment). I am doing research and this book is invaluable. I don't care about others talking bad about grammar and why? this book is so filled with information no other book is needed.

Finding a book describing how to build and own a car wash from scratch it a bit of a niche, so I appreciate the author writing this book. There is a lot of good information from first hand experience. The business plans and sample reports are very helpful too. However, as others mention, the book isn't very well written. The business owner wrote it without a professional writer, and it shows. The book has grammatical errors, incomplete sentences, and could be more concise at times. However, I suggest looking over that and focusing on the content. Although the book has some areas to improve, I found it helpful and would recommend.

I just finished reading your book and wanting to personally thank you for the info you shared. You answered a lot of questions and I am very excited to start my own car wash in the near future. I have to admit that I read another car wash starter book before yours that was not written by an actual owner and the difference in the information is surprising. I feel sorry for those that jump into this game after reading a book like that and thinking they know everything they need to get started. You did a great job.

After reading this book, I am rethinking the way I approach building my business. I had started a business plan, but will be discarding and starting over. As I have visited with a few other business owners, the information in this book is right in line with what other car wash owners are telling me.I will definitely be following the avise in this book!

This book says its about the car wash business, however it primarily focuses on building a car wash from the ground up. It also focuses on self service and in bay automatic style washes. Hardly any information on a full service washes, and hardly any information on performing due diligence and research into an existing car wash.I would recommend this book to an individual who seeks to build a new car wash, but do not recommend for anyone looking to purchase an existing car wash.

There are very few sources on the market that provide insight into the self service car wash industry. I was excited to find this novel and it's info filled contents. Buzz does a very good job of painting a picture of what the self service car wash industry looks like! If you are thinking about getting into the business this book is a great source of information!

Good book to start with if you are thinking about getting into the car wash buisness. The actual nuts and bolts of how they work will require a bit more research.
