Very Good Humidfier
I have had mine for awhile, and here are the things you have to do to keep it working great. Used good water even if you have to run it through a filter. The Filter you just can't leave them in all the time you have to clean them every other day under warm water also when you clean the filters flip them around so you get even wear on them. You also should be cleaning your Humidifier about once a week. if you use this Humidifier all of the time.If you do this your Vicks Humidifier will work great for years. also for cleaning if you live in a dusty house take some canned air and blow out the fans to clean them out from dust. simple maintenance and this unit works great. change the filter every 3 to 4 weeks. you can buy replacement filters here on Amazon. my unit has been working since 2020.

Fantastic!!
I never knew there was such a thing as a humidifier that doesn't shoot mist into the air! I run a humidifier in my office (I have a lot of finicky plants), but I was limited to where I could put the thing due to everything around it getting hit with moisture. This thing works SO great and does not put out one ounce of mist. I, literally have it sitting on my carpet and NOTHING is wet. NOTHING!! I am not 100% sure on the science behind it, but instead of shooting water vapor into the air to raise the humidity, it sucks in room air, mixes it with moisture, and then shoots that AIR back out. It's incredible, and is so much more convenient for me placement-wise. Too, with my old humidifier, I was worried about breathing in impurities. There was always a white residue left on everything due to the minerals and chemicals in our water. This one has a filter and is supposed to capture a lot of that stuff. It does make a little noise, due to the fan, but it's not obnoxious. It sounds similar to a small tabletop fan. White noise. I dig it. TIP: If it seems like it's NOT raising the humidity, or the water level is not going down appropriately... soak the filter in water for a few minutes and try running it again. I had that issue and researched it. It has something to do with the room air being too dry, and the filter drying out faster than it needs to be in order to do its job. It's apparently not a defect of the humidifier, per the manufacturer. 🤷🏼♀️ I don't know, but it works!! I have to do it every now and then. No biggie. I would definitely recommend this humidifier. UPDATE 05/2025: I am updating my review and knocking off a star. Regarding the filter drying out and having to soak it, periodically, for a few minutes... I previously said it was no biggie. Well, I changed my mind. It's annoying... so annoying. I have since purchased a different evaporative humidifier, and while it also requires that the filter be wet/rewet in order to maintain the humidity, I don't have to do so nearly as often as I do with this one.

Barely humidifies anything
Wanted to love this product and bought it for the ease of cleaning and not having to use distilled water, but what’s the point of a humidifier if it doesn’t make your space humid. I would fill up the water tank and wouldn’t see it go down for hours. Turned it on and left for a full day of work came back, and it was still pretty dry in my room. My humidity monitor doesn’t move by much when I turn this thing on, and I because this doesn’t output miss you never truly know if it’s really using the water in the tank, I think majority of the time I put it on it was just a cool air coming out which would make the place even more dry. If you are looking for a humidifier that you can use tapwater with, is easy to clean, and actually humidifier your room then I would recommend a warm mist humidifier. The water boils in the humidifier so it’s killing off all the bacteria in the tapwater and it outputs mess so you know it’s working. Because it boils the tapwater there is no white dust that settles, and you only have to clean it once every two weeks. I live in a small apartment and only keep the humidifier in my bedroom with the door closed and it has trouble working in that one room. I say don’t waste your time on this because though it’s an evaporated humidifier it’s essential useless if it doesn’t work. I’m going to return mine.

Great machine
I have been suffering with dry humidity in my apartment for a few years now, and I’ve tried every humidifier I could get my hands on just about. Because I have allergies and severe sinusitis I also needed something with Vicks that would help me breathe. I wish I had bought this at the very beginning. Now I grant you that the Vicks pads don’t have a powerful smell but you can smell it and it has a great powerful cool air blower. It is not a steam machine. It is a blower of cool air with the Vicks pats, and it puts in that moisture into the air to where it brings that dry. Humidity into a normal humidity reading. My humidity thermometer was always at 21% and a normal reading should be around 30% and up so I was always having nosebleeds and sore throat. But now my head is reading about 41% right now so during the job I have and felt sick since I’ve had it and I’ve had it almost 2 days now. So I ordered another one for my bedroom, and I highly recommend it.

Works like it should!
This my second one - Not only a good humidifier it keeps me cool in months - cold air bows out front right onto me… get better sleep because of it. Is abit noisy but nothing you can’t get use too.

Not effective enough in a 20x8 room
Although compact, easy to clean, and lightweight (without the water), it didn't make much of a difference in my situation—overnight in a 20x8x6 (960 cu-ft) room. Even the highest setting didn't increase the humidity by more than 10% over a 12-hour period. The filters are easy to replace, but you'll have to pay for new ones every couple of months.

Apparently only works in US. Should have been warned before buying it.
