Orion15188 Scope Cloak - Refractor Reflector and SCTs

Arrived promptly and was in perfect condition. My husband loves it and was more than happy to use it to protect his telescope and toss the flat sheet that he had been using for years. Excellent product. It also keeps the equipment cooler due to deflecting the direct sunlight so that he can set up everything during the day, cover it and when it's time to use the scope, he is ready to go and doesn't lose any of his night time sky due to having to set up late. Excellent product.

This is the best scope cover that I have ever seen! It's made out of a breathable fabric material that is reflective. You have the option of using a blue side or a silver reflective side. You choose! The important things to note when you purchase this is that you have to pick your size properly. If you pick the smallest size it won't fit the larger telescopes. Also, keep in mind the length of the attachments you mount. I leave my CCD and filter-wheel setup attached to the scope during the day and that adds another six inches to the scope length. This is totally worth having. Buy one!

Yep, does what it is supposed to. Seems to be well made. Perfect size for my Celestron 9.25 HD CGEM.

I bought this to cover my 8" Celestron telescope. The material is relatively thin - thin enough to allow quite a bit of light through. The entire scope cloak feels very light weight. It is silver on the outside and red on the inside. In hindsight, I would buy a heavy duty barbeque cover at half the price and cover more of the telescope. I have since bought the 11" Celestron SCT telescope and tried putting this cover over it. Well it barely covers the OTA and leaves the tripod electronics exposed.

Works great. Covers my Celestron 9.25 Evolution. Use when leaving the scope setup in garage and in case of bad weather at events. Heavy gauge and good size. Weather and sun proof is great for when setup prior to local events.

Well made reflective cover that covers my C11 Edge as well as the equatorial mounting and the upper tripod legs. It is easy to put on and remove. When not using the scope for a period of time, I remove the OTA and leave the GEM and tripod covered. Robert C. Richard

I've only had these a short time and already they are starting to crack,I bought 2 both are showing the same problem,. They aren't worth 1/2 the price, buy something else.

I bought the scope cloak for my Celestron 8, and it works well. It does not touch the ground, and so allows air to flow around and not be stagnant.

I bought one of the Orion 15188 Scope Cloaks in summer of 2021, and have used it since then. It's been outside covering my scope for the sunny months of 2021, 2022, and 2023, and is in perfect condition. I bought a second scope and needed another cover, so I bought this second Orion 15188 Scope Cloak in August this summer. It looked different from my other one, it's thinner and does not have the same appearance. My original one looks like the one in the picture on Amazon, with a "woven" texture. My new one has been outside for just a couple months and it's already breaking down from the sunlight, turned yellow-ish, and is cracking.

Good product but too expensive for the stuff it is.
