Synology IP Camera License Pack for 1 (CLP1)

The key is easy to input to my CCTV system and the camera was authenticated successfully. The license is quite expensive but it has feature support that caters to many different CCTV cameras. I hope they would offer this on SALE since it is very easy to use and the license is transferrable to any Synology NAS or dedicated Surveillance systems.

Let’s get the price out of the way, yeah it can be pricey if you have a lot of cameras to license. However, most of us have 4-5 cameras, you get 2 free licenses in the ds220+ and other Synology models so really your spending under 200 bucks for them to stay on top of the software which is no small task. Not to mention that it’s licensed for life unlike other software that milks you yearly or monthly just to use it.Overall, I think they do a pretty good job in functionality and as good as most in security updates. The phone app is easy to use and if you have a router that supports VPN then wherever you are, use VPN to connect to your router and don’t worry about exposing your NAS to the web. No need for quick connect either.Could they do better? Of course there’s always room for that but out of the box, I have nothing to complain about and I’d recommend this solution over a no name NVR and even most of the big name NVR’s just on the security issues alone and lack of up dating. So I give it an 8.5 out of ten.

Synology surveillance station is great software and I highly recommend it. It is cool that it comes with two built in licenses.This gets a 4 instead of a 5 because … The license per camera seems pricey after spending 600+ on the NAS itself (without HDDs) and it is obscene that they ship you a license code on a card instead of deliver it digitally. Also, there are no discounts for multiple licenses and they don’t offer a 2 pack.

License came in appropriate time based on shipping estimate. Worked as expected and able to add additional camera to Synology Surveillance Station.

If you have a synology NAS, you may have discovered that you can use it to run IP cameras on your network. The only thing you need is your cameras, a PoE switch (or injectors), and the NAS. In my case, I use the NAS as a backup but I don't even come close to fully utilizing it so it is doubling as a station for my cameras.Here's the issue with Synology. The units work on a licensing system for cameras. Most come with 2. If you only have 2 cameras, no big deal. You have everything you need right out of the box. If you want more, however, you have to buy licenses. This practice is really annoying. I did it because it's still cheaper than buying a dedicated unit (and adding NAS friendly hard drives, remember, they need to be surveillance or NAS rated, not standard hard drives and definitely not SSDs because of the constant read/write access).Realistically, I labelled this 5 stars because it is exactly what it is supposed to be. You get the code, you enter it, and a half a second later, you have the ability to add a new camera. I just have a problem with Synology's practice of charging so much per camera.

Synology surveillance station is the best you are going to get in the reasonable price range…I consider this the entry level into the commercial /industrial processional products and I currently have a synology ds723+ with two 1Tb M.2 drives for cache and expanded RAM chip as well. Running 24 cameras 24/7 constant (no motion activation), 20 or 30fps and 8mp. Am very happy with it. Note - my job is installing commercial systems in large facilities and this is what I bought for my own house .

I enjoy Synology Surveillance software, it's reliable and no issues in general. However, this license is expensive and I wish it was half the cost, but at least you do not have monthly subscription fee for your cameras and software is provided and maintained as part of Synology HW/SW stack.

It works well for adding my third camera to the synology. But it's relatively expensive even than my camera :(

Schnell eine weitere Kamera in der Synology Surveillance Station hinzufügen bedeutet, dass man manchmal eine weitere Lizenz benötigt. Die hier kommt in einem kleinen Umschlag mit einem Kärtchen darin, auf dem die Seriennummer aufgedruckt ist. Schnell - unkompliziert - und angenehmerweise nicht zeitlich begrenzt, sondern von Dauer. Top.

Non, vraiment, rien du tout à dire! C’est une carte avec des chiffres et des lettres dessus. Ca pourrait être envoyé par mail, mais c’est envoyé par la poste.La carte est jolie, aux couleurs de Synology, ce qui est finalement assez logique. En rouge, on aurait pu penser à un numéro de license pour une boisson gazeuse, mais à ma connaissance il ne fait pas de license pour boire cette boisson gazeuse. Alors c’est mauve. Ou bleu, parce qu’en ce qui me concerne, bleu ou mauve, c’est quasi pareil. Ma femme dirait que c’est mauve lilas ou mauve fruit des bois. Moi je dis bleu.Donc, non, rien à dire: ça fonctionne.

Il software di videosorveglianza di Synology è perfetto, intuitiva la gestione e facile la configurazione. Avevo tre telecamere che controllavo solo tramite la loro app, ma poiché erano compatibili ONVIF le ho integrate in VideoSurveillance del mio NAS Synology, in modo da avere anche la registrazione continua. Il prodotto viene con 2 telecamere comprese, per la terza ho dovuto acquistare licenza a parte.Soddisfattissimo, lo consiglio.
