Great Addition to Bosch 12v line
Update: Feb 1 2016: This week I discovered I can effortlessly clip this light on to the front of my overalls and and adjust the angle for effortless hands free lighting - it casts a wide beam so it makes it really easy to for instance, gather and load tools in the truck when the workday goes past sundown... The first light has taken a few falls from the top of a 6 foot scaffold with no issue. 2nd light is on the way. great product. 5 stars. Update: Jan 17 2016: This light is absolutely phenomenal ... recently started a substantial interior demolition project in a house that currently does not have electrical service. This light, although diminutive in size, provides a TON of usable light, for a very long time (I used it for over an hour this evening with no issue - have not tested to determine max run time). The adjustable base with integral magnet is AWESOME - I can easily drive a screw in the wall to hang the mount from, or use the magnet to stick the light on any flat steel surface on my scaffold, allowing work to continue as the sun goes down with no cords to trip over and absolutely no compromises. The light appears to be sturdy and built to withstand a reasonable amount of rough handling. I have zero qualms about putting it to work in a messy environment like an interior demo area ... Its a solid little package. I am planning on getting a 2nd light for additional coverage, along with a couple of lightweight inexpensive tripods to mount them on. Vivitar has a model under $25 that is widely available. If you are already a fan of Bosch's 12v platform ... this light is a MUST HAVE. ------------------------- Original Review: I am a dedicated Bosch fan fully invested in their 12v line ... this light is a great addition to my assortment - plenty of brightness, appears to be sturdy (has not been exposed to a tremendous amount of abuse - yet) ... easy to adjust where you need it, and the magnet is a additional feature. Recommended.

Awesome Light. My favorite.. Just buy it...AutoFixPal.com
Bosch FL12 LED work light: 330 Lumens makes this the second brightest light in the group and currently it is my favorite light. Not because it produces 330 lumens of light but because it is the second brightest, has the longest run time of 6 hours on max brightness, run time doubles on low setting, pivoting magnetic base with a built in carabiner that is easy to use and useful. The pivoting magnetic base with built in carabiner is made of solid aluminum and feels Very solid, it is attached to the light itself very securely. The Bases tension is adjustable using the screw on the side. As you pivot the Bosch fl12 on it’s base it is locked into place every few degrees with a detent mechanism which keeps the light from losing its position due to the weight of the light (no it’s not a heavy light). The light lense is framed in aluminum but the body appears to be a type of composite maybe even a poly-carbonite (high quality, durable type of plastic) or Reinforced Plastic. There is no mention of it’s resistance to water of fluids, however the Bosch fl12 LED work light does appear to be sealed up really well and I believe that it should survive a drop or 2 into a bucket of whatever fluid you are unfortunate enough to drop it in. The power button is a simple on/off type button however if you hold the button down it will switch the work light to it’s low setting. This low setting is not retained when you turn the light off. you will have to switch it to low every time you turn the Bosch fl12 work lighton. This is a well made light and a Good value at only $48.99 w/out battery on Amazon. One thing i should note is that the low output setting on this light puts out plenty of light for most situations, i sometimes have trouble distinguishing which power level I am using. Things that i don’t like about the Bosch FL12 10 LED work light is that the power button is in an awkward location that i often have trouble finding without looking at the light (it will take getting used to), the low power setting is not retained when the light is turned off and requires you to switch it to the low power setting every time you use it. I don’t know if this will happen but the carabiner has the potential to become bent if you drop the light in just the right way. This has not happened to me yet and i have dropped it a few times already. Now with that said you should be able to just bend it back into place since it is solid aluminum.

SUPER BRIGHT and PERFECT
The best portable work light, EVER. Amazing power. I used it one night to change the car battery - the magnet worked perfectly and did not need someone to hold the flashlight for me. I used it to light up those corners and underneath appliances - almost too much light. I can't believe how bright this thing is. I have almost all the 12 volt tools from Bosch and adding this to my collection was a no brainer. I have used another Bosch flashlight (FL10A) and though helpful not as versatile as this one. I haven't used the older one since I've gotten this one. I am VERY pleased with this! PROS -Bright -Magnet works well -Can be set on a shelf/floor right next to the project -Battery life is incredible -Sturdy and well built, good finish CONS? -would be great if it had an insert tray (a wish but not a negative) The photo shows how I incorporated this tool into my L-Boxx. The foam allows it to be snug in the box. By all means buy this, especially if you need a bright light for your projects. I used it in outside (evening) with my compound miter saw - bright enough to use in the evening and did not have to lug a huge halogen light with its cord, etc. No reservations at all with this one! June 18, 2015 Well after using this for some time, I bought ANOTHER one (needed one for under the sink, plumbing) and one in the basement for the other part of the plumbing - two lights did the job perfectly! I use this everywhere now!! Get it; no regrets at all.

Bright, compact, versatile, reliable light.
To start with, this light is exceptionally bright, effectively eliminating any dimly lit workspaces. Additionally, its compact size makes it highly convenient. It's not overly large or heavy, and the rechargeable 12v batteries are both lightweight and durable, providing extended use. Its compact design allows it to fit into smaller areas where my other lights cannot reach. The light features a robust magnet, ensuring it securely attaches to steel surfaces. It also includes a lanyard-like clip, perfect for attaching to clothing or a backpack. The built-in stand is reliable, and there's a threaded hole compatible with most camera tripods. Moreover, the light has a versatile pivoting range, allowing it to swivel through over 180 degrees of arc, providing flexibility in directing the light exactly where it's needed.

Sturdy and bright
These are great work lights. Really solid and great mounting options. Two brightness levels, which both make those dark spaces bright enough to work in. They seem to go on sale every now and then.

Nice light but doesn't come with a battery.
This is a nice light but doesn't come with a battery. I like all the ways you can use it: hang it, use the magnet, or attach to a tripod. I use it for extra lighting when painting furniture. It is plenty bright. It doesn't have the battery information in the Amazon description or in their manual that comes with the light. I finally found the battery on Amazon for $29. If you need a charger that will add more expense. Bosch it would be nice if you have this information easy to find. I would have ordered the battery and charger when I ordered the light. I had to do a lot of searching for the battery information to order it. I was looking forward to using the light when it arrived- instead I had to spend more money and wait for the battery.

Best darn light I've ever owned! Ever!
As an Journeyman electrician for 21 years I can say that this is the most well thought out and handy little work light I've ever owned. I liked it so much I bought two. Electricians are usually doing most of their work in the dark, because there just isn't any lighting on a job until you put it there. So light for me is an essential and important part of my job when there is none. I've had countless people tell me how impressive these lights are, and I can further attest that these last a long time battery wise, several hours 3/4 hours run time is normal. Another thing I really like about them is that they are so positional! The pivotal magnetic base on these is frankly a godsend because you can always get the light right where you need it without the light being in your darn way; as is usually the case. And that to me is absolutely invaluable when doing my job. The hold magnet on these gems are really strong, and these lights are the TOUGHEST Lights Ive ever come across! I've had one knocked off of an I Beam from 22 ft above a concrete floor. (its the one with the base basically completely gone in the pictures) When it hit the floor the snap-link type positional base broke off (because it is a die cast aluminum and bound to happen from that height) and the battery and the light separated. Picked up the light, slapped back in the battery and it came back on like it never happened. I've never had a light survive what these lights have survived again and again and again. I really hope they never change these lights. You know the deal, that good old "fix it till it breaks syndrome" when you find something that works so well and then the manufacturer screws it up trying to make it better and it ends up making it worse. Bottom line here folks is if you are in a trade and need to use a good dependable and tough light, I can't say enough about this light. Its unequaled in every way to any other light (and I've gone through dozens in my time in the trade)

Well Designed Versatile Light
This is a remarkably well designed, useful, and bright light for its size. It takes up hardly space and has a very versatile stand that allows for any angle of light without taking up any extra space when stored. Folded it easily fits in a jacket pocket. It also has carabiner-style large snap hook that can securely clip onto most anything and still adjust the angle, a magnetic mount, and a tripod mount. Plus it has two light levels for longer battery life if you don't need full brightness which is quite bright. This is literally brighter than a much larger plug-in 120 volt powered Chinese LED worklight I have. It throws a much wider beam than any flashlight and will honestly light up a 10 by 10 foot area bright enough to work without any other light. It flat out blows away the cheaper no-name Chinese lights. It's great for working in dark areas with no AC power, for use during power outages, working on cars, camping, and more. I may buy a second one it's so versatile. The fact it uses the Bosch 12 volt batteries is great if you have any of their other 12 volt tools. You can swap batteries when it dies, they charge quickly, and it's a high quality battery and charger that meet real safety standards so you don't have to worry about it overheating and turning into a fire hazard like the Chinese products are known to do. Plus I'm willing to bet this will far outlast three of the Chinese versions and is much more likely to survive drops and rough handling. It seems extremely well made and is well worth the money.
