Summit Treestands Replacement Seat, Mossy Oak Camo

My husband just returned from a four day solo hunting trip deep in the mountains. We had ordered this seat just prior to him going. I scoffed at the price because I don't know a thing about hunting and it seemed to me that a pillow shouldn't cost $35.00. However, my husband, who has hunted since he was a teen, had done research and was intent on getting this Summit Treestands seat.He told me that he was glad he did. After using it for hours on end in some crazy weather, he has a pretty good idea of the quality. He said the seat was bigger than the original which made him much more comfortable. He felt the padding was great and workmanship was superior. Although not water resistant, the seat held up well to the elements and wasn't too heavy to haul around.I know nothing about hunting but my husband is an expert. He hunts constantly during deer season. He is very happy with this seat - happier than he expected to be in fact. He read a few negative reviews and was a bit concerned but overall, he says he couldn't ask for more. He's very happy with this seat and will be using it a lot this season and for seasons to come. Should he experience any issues as he uses the seat more, I will come back and update and rerate but, for now, hubby says to give it 5 stars. He's picky about his equipment whether it is hunting, fishing, photography, or hiking and, if there was a flaw that he saw or felt, he would have reported back to me and rated it lower. For this sportsman , the Summit Treestands Seat is just what he wanted and then some. To me, it's a camo pillow. But whatever makes him comfortable and happy is OK with me.

This is the bomb for climbing tree stands. I’ve used a lot of other climbers in the past 30 plus years. This was light weight, quiet, extremely comfortable with lots of room and easy to set up. I am partial to hanging onto trees with the chain from other climbers but I’ll get used to the cable for all the other features. Definitely worth the money. Borrowed one from a friend of mine‘s last season and was convinced to buy one. Great improvement to the old Rivers Edge steel stand. Which was my mainstay, sturdy but heavy.

Imagine yourself in this scenario..After finding that perfect camouflaged spot to place your tree stand, you climb up the ladder as slowly and quietly as you possibly can to not be spotted or heard by that beautiful Buck you have been tracking. You get to the top of the stand, slowly go to sit down, and all of the sudden.. SNAP! Your seat snaps and you feel like your whole life has flashed before your eyes and now the whole forest knows you are there. This seat was the perfect replacement to my old worn snapped seat and it was the perfect universal fit to my older stand. The camouflage pattern is excellent and the seat feels sturdy and comfortable. I would recommend this seat replacement to anyone who is looking to comfortably and safely sit out on a tree stand.

This is my first season in this replacement seat. Replaced the seat on my summit razor mostly due to a broken strap but partly also due to it being noisy at both the straps and the seat whenever I shifted my weight. I read that this seat was noisy as well, but I've found it not to be. Quite thick and comfortable, providing a bit of a cushion for my painful lower back. The seat I had was quite old. This one has plastic hooks to hold the upper of the seat to the tree, replacing metal hooks that would clang against the metal of the stand like a bell. Seat is quite warm as well. Overall I'm pleased.

Great seat. Just like original

I waited way too long to replace the original seat. It head up well for many seasons, but really started to deteriorate to the point where the straps were separating from the seat itself. I was concerned that it would be difficult to switch them out, but the instructions made it very easy. The only time consuming part was trying to balance the adjustment buckles for my comfort. These seats really enable me to have long, comfortable sits.

Liked how well it work with a Summit viper climber.It was just what I needed. And it seems much better than the original with a bigger seat cushion and sure cheaper than buying a new one.
