Low Strength Threadlocker
Loctite is a well known solution to keep screws from coming loose. There are different strengths (and other variants) to provide the right variety for the application needs. This purple variety is a low strength threadlock. Works well for something you may want to unscrew again without worrying about stripping the head, especially head types that cam out more easily. Yet it secure enough to give you confidence that they won't come loose from light use (carry / vibration). Easy to apply, easy to cleanup.

Good stuff!
Good for keeping screws in and nuts on bolts. Put it on the threads of the screw and wait the full 24 hours to be sure it's set. Been using their stuff for many years. Make sure you get the right strength for the size of your screws. - Low strength (this item) - purple/loctite 222 (liquid) is for up to 1/4" screws Med strength - blue/loctite 243 (liquid) & 248 (stick) is for 1/4" to 3/4" screws High strength - red/loctite 263 (liquid) is for up to 1" screws Purple you can take the screw back out with just a hand tool. Blue you may need some sort of leverage. Red you'll want to heat up a little bit before trying to remove the screw. Stay within the manufacturer's suggested strength for your screw size to avoid risking stripping/damage. I've stripped a few screws in the past thinking that it would be fine, but the screws were softer than I expected. Not worth the risk/headache. Using one too weak and you'll risk it not holding well enough.

This purple Loctite works for me.
I know that red Loctite is permanent and blue is not What I needed was something for the little bitty screws that attach mods to the cams of my compound bows. When I asked for advice on what color of Loctitie to use on those little bitty screws, every one said to get the purple because it is best for tiny screws and is not permanent. So, that's how I use it and am happy with the result.

This is a great LOW STRENGTH adhesive for SMALL screws
This is for very small screws. It's just to keep things from coming disassembled. If you need small screws to be held in place under heavy vibration or stress, I'd suggest the Loctite Blue 242 instead.

It does the job
This is "just strong enough" threadlocker, such that screws won't back themselves out, but it's so easy to break the seal that it's hard to tell from simply a very tight screw. Like all loctite products, you get exactly what they say, and if you pick the right stuff, exactly what you need. It's a shame it costs what it does though. The glues, though outstanding, have a pretty terrible shelf life once you've opened the bottle. I suspect that will be the same case here, and the next time I need to lock down some screws the liquid won't be liquid anymore.

Great Product. Easy Application.
Great product with no lost bolts so far. As it says, this is low-strength but gets the job done. I use this on all the bolts on my motorcycle not located near the exhaust or too close to the engine. This is because it is not rated for high temperatures. It is easy to apply as all it takes is a drop or two to the threads of any bolt. Highly recommended.

Loctite Purple 222MS
Nothing much to say about this, it is Loctite, so a brief of what I use it for: I use the Purple 222MS to secure grip screws, sight set screws and those few Harley bolts that I remove often. The purple holds against vibration, but is easy to break loose with a little torque. I use the 243 blue to secure bolts on my Harley that I may need/want to remove later, and to secure grip nuts on my pistols. These are not things that I plan to remove anytime soon, and want to make sure they stay put until I may need to remove them. When I need to make sure something does not move at all, I use Loctite Red 262. This takes a lot of torque and heat to remove. Do NOT use this until you know how strong it is and you know how to remove it. Do NOT use this on any screw you want to remove.

Expensive
Well worth it for my project. I want to do it once and the right way. Very expensive but you only need a little bit. So a small bottle should last me my lifetime.
