Best and most convenient light pad available!
This light pad is AMAZING! It's amazing how technology has developed. I remember having a light table when I was younger that was about 6 inches thick and required a high watt light bulb. This pad is flat, convenient, durable, and bright, and the lightness can be adjusted. It's called a "pad" because it is ultra-slim. Much thinner than light tables I've had when I was younger. With this pad, there's no need for a light bulb and no need for an outlet to plug it into. The pad has built-in bright LED's (negates the light bulb factor) and comes with a very long micro usb cord (negates the need for an outlet). The micro usb power cord only requires a usb port. That means a laptop, a usb power brick, or even a TV. Yes...a TV! Most TV's nowadays have usb ports. Guess what, they'll power your light pad. When I received this in the mail, I opened it in my kitchen. The nearest usb port I could see was the port on the TV in my kitchen. So I plugged it in out of curiosity and voila! Let there be light. And LOTS of light there was. The LED's are bright. There is a touch power button in the upper left corner. Continue pressing the button and the brightness adjusts. And it's a gradual adjustment - like a dimmer switch. Another nice thing is that when you tap the power button, it remembers your light setting. The construction is very good. It's rigid and it's made of what I would call plexiglass. That said, it'll scratch. So I wouldn't use this with an X-Acto knife and I'd keep it away from sliding against other things as you'll eventually get micro abrasions. I'm considering getting large format screen saver material and placing a sheet of that over the surface. My only complaints are the advertised screen size. The ILLUMINATED size, is not the same as the advertised SCREEN size. And I would have preferred a US Customary ruler system on the top and side. But these are minuscule compared to the overall greatness of this light pad. For the price, you can't beat it.

Great light pad, great price
I've bought two Huion products before: both graphic tablets, the first lasted me a year, but I trusted their newer model enough to buy a second, which I've had for little over a year so we'll see if their products are long lasting. I say all this because Huion seems to be doing well in the market with very competitive prices, good features and good reviews, enough for me to trust their other products, and that's partly why I picked their light pad over others. So far I'm not disappointed! I've had this light pad since January but I've only started using it on a daily basis since Inktober started and it's been so helpful! Its sleek and doesn't feel cheap despite being super lightweight. One tap turns it on to the highest level, one tap turns it off. Only challenges are the hyper sensitivity of the on switch (very easy to brush against it and change the setting), and knowing how long to press to change dimness levels requires a bit of patience. It's bright enough to shine through 300lbs watercolour paper and Bristol paper. The only time the dimness level wasn't strong enough was while tracing on Bristol paper over Rendr sketchbook paper. That's due to the thickness of both papers and Rendr's unique paper quality. Working in the dark with the light pad as my only light source was a quick fix for that. But otherwise I don't need to. Overall I highly recommend this to someone who is looking for an affordable light pad that gets the job done.

Great quality, great price!
I love this light pad!! I took probably a week and did a lot of reading through reviews before finally deciding on this one, and I am so happy with it! I am using it to practice my hand lettering and some prep sketches for paintings, and it’s done such a great job so far. Pros: Super slim, flat surface. Doesn’t hurt my hand working at an angle or raised above my desk. The brightness adjustability is awesome! Once you’ve turned it on, tapping and holding the power icon (not a button) gradually dims the light level. Take your finger off the icon and then tap and hold again and the brightness increases. If you turn the power off it remembers the setting you had it on last and defaults to that when you power it on next. The surface of the light pad causes paper from my sketch pad to cling to it, so it doesn’t move much at all, which is nice. I only have to worry about the tracing paper or whatever is on top staying in place. I am starting work on a piece that will be on watercolor paper (see photo) and with the light pad I can see my original lettering through the 140lb watercolor paper just fine. In the picture the original lettering is only in pencil. If had inked it, it would show up better. I’m sure that I would be able to see if the watercolor paper was colored lightly as well. I’d have to test on darker colors. There is no “dot grid” like on some other light pads I’ve seen, just a smooth, flat white surface. I’ve used this light pad for about three hours straight in one sitting and had no trouble with it hurting my eyes. Cons: It does have to be plugged in to a power source at all times, but the cable is long enough and I have an extension cable so this is not an issue for me. Make sure you have a wall power adapter (like the cube from your smartphone charger) as there is not one included in the box. The light pad itself is hard acrylic and does not feel cheap, but it is slightly pliable so I use my sketch board underneath it when I’m not at my desk to prevent it from warping. Other than that, I think this light pad is a really great deal for the price. I am careful with the power adapter since some other users have reported issues but I think it will be fine. If you’re planning on casual use, I’d say this is definitely a good choice!

Perfect for tracing pencil sketches on up to 300 gsm watercolour paper. The light is strong enough, works extra well though in a less lit room. It needs power to work, but I use a chargeable powerbank so I'm not dependable of an outlet and can even use it outside. No need to buy a bigger size light box, just stick both pages together (with easy removable tape) and you’re free to move them around. Don't tape the paper to the lightpad, it's hard to remove the residue. I kept the foam packaging to protect the screen when not in use.

Product was fantastic, the Amazon courier playing a game of extreme frisbee with the package into my front hedge, not so fantastic!

Awesome and convenient light pad. I've been using it for about a couple of months now for 2D animation. The best thing is you can change the intensity of the light according to your need compared to the traditional vinyl disc light tables. Here's the ups and downs.... Pros: 1) Very Good brightness range. (Can also be used as an LED panel torch in case of a sudden power cut) 2) Portable and lightweight. You can carry it anywhere you want. 3) Can be connected to a laptop or a power bank so any micro USB cable works with it. The one provided with it is long and very robust. 4) The plastic glass surface is good and doesn't gets scratched easily. Cons: 1) Because its pretty light and thin, it can break easily if used carelessly or someone accidentally sits on it or falls off the table. 2) No kegs. So you gotta hold the stack and check the alignment of the sheets every time you flip the paper. 3) No inbuilt battery. It needs constant power from a source to work. 4) No warranty and a bit heavy on the price, since its imported. Mine's working fine till now but if I run into some issue I'll write an update. Overall, if you cant find a classic light table anywhere, you can go for this one. If this item was sold in India, it would cost approx 2K to 3K INR. Maybe even less. I'm happy with this purchase.
