How many buckets are provided as the title says 5, but the description says 3?

I received 5. They're strong buckets.

How well do the lids fit on? Are they a tight fitting seal?

The buckets are quite sturdy but the lids are a loose fit, I use them in the greeenhouse for compost etc.

Is it possible to pierce holes at the sides or bottom of this? If so, any tips/suggestions for best method to do so?

I would tape the area with packing tape or other, you can then drill holes. The tape will stop any cracking, never done it but sure it will work ok. Kind regards David
