Very durable and large size
This order was a replacement coffee pot for one lost in a fire. We live on a sailboat and this pot makes a large batch of coffee and keeps it hot a long time for those overnight sails. The best coffee press we’ve owned, and we’ve had a few! The quality is great too. I have the fat bottom coffee cup to match because they are the best.

Excellent quality, But......
Stanley stainless steel french press.Excellent quality from Stanley. The outside of press doesn't get hot at all, which indicates that it's very well insulated.HOWEVER. The plunger is NOT great. We get LOTS of grit in our coffee. We have to make sure we use a fine mesh strainer when pouring coffee. We still recommend.

Best money spent on camping gadget
This is a Stanley product, so of course it's rugged and well-made. It will make a full 12 cup pot of coffee, though you don't 12 cups because part of the volume gets taken up by the coffee grounds. The press is easy to use. If you know how to use a French press, it makes great coffee. It stays hot decently long, but it will lose heat through the top because that part is uninsulated. Keep it clean and treat if carefully, and it's great for front-country camping and coffee time when there's nothing but an electice kettle.

Love this French press!
Keeps coffee nice and toasty all morning! The ONLY reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the SMALL amount of coffee grinds that make their way past the screen into the coffee. Not unheard of with a French press, but I have had presses with virtually no grinds. Other than that, this is a great press. I like that it is easy to rinse, not worried about breaking glass, use it regularly at home but also great to take on camping ventures, and love the color. It’s a great press, I don’t hesitate to recommend it at all.

A+ product, but customer service fail.
I like everything about this French Press. It's all stainless steel, it's durable, attractive, easy to use and easy to clean. It's insulated so there is no need to transfer the coffee to another container once made, and it makes a great cup of coffee! Now my one and only gripe...The one thing I am disappointed with is Stanley's customer service when I contacted them about obtaining replacement mesh filters. My inquiry was not warranty related, I simply wanted a couple of spare filters to have on hand. I had checked the Stanley website prior to contacting them and there were no replacement mesh filters listed on the spare parts/accessories page. In my initial correspondence I clarrified that I had already checked the website without luck. In the reply from Stanley I was told to check the Stanley website 🙄, and if not available there I was instructed to check my local hardware, retail, and grocery stores, or even Ebay and Amazon. So, when your mesh filter does wear out, or get damaged, you're on your own finding a replacement. Just be prepared for a little difficulty in your search because these use an uncommon size filter.

Very pleased with this
I don't use this all the time but when I do I'm always happy with it. It really bring out the flavor of the coffee, it works well. It brews more coffee than what I need for myself. It could have a better design for the lid where the press rod goes through, it's a sloppy hole where liquid can get in and you can't take it apart to clean it. It's very sturdy and easy to use though. They also could put measurement lines on the inside, that would be very helpful.

Good French Press, Packing by Amazon HORRIBLE
This came in an Amazon box along with 4 other items, 2 other items that were metal and slightly heavy. There was no packing material, one small piece of brown paper loose in the box. Every item was loose in the box. I was lucky this french press did not get dented or scratched. The box was too big and everything was loose. I saw a lot of reviews as a warning - Shame on Amazon!! There is no manufacturer box, just a paper label around the press, so no protection against shipping damage. The manufacturer's instruction manual is useless if you can find and actually read the English instruction in it. The "fill line" mentioned is not pointed out in the manual nor marked on the inside of the item. This french press replaces a 15 year old Bodum Glass 4cup 32 oz that finally has a broken part. Not sure I like this Stanley for no other reason than looks. It does keep the coffee hot for a long time, it is easy to clean. The filter plunger fillter pieces glide down and up very smoothly. This is heavier (of course as it is metal) but the handle is well designed and easy to pour. The "insulated lid" is odd, but does seal in the heat. The amount of "sediment" left in the finished coffee is the same as what I had with the Bodum (which I like), not excessive but there for the taste. The filter pieces are identical to the Bodum I have. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I used a regular grind dark roast coffee. Will try expresso grind next which the fine metal mesh filter will do well with. Not happy with Amazon packing!
