Adjustable Wood/Glass Shelf Bracket Wall Mount, Polished Chrome, 2 Pack

I bought a glass shelf probably about five years ago to install under my wall mounted television and my weight room to hold a maybe 3 lb DVD player so that if I wanted to watch some of my exercise videos I could. The piece of glass was exactly what I wanted; not too big with a low profile. The problem was the hardware, which would have allowed the shelf to hold up to 17 lb, was pretty extensive. it would have required me to make many holes in the wall and was just really more than I wanted to do especially in the small space. Fast forward 5 years later I'm finally ready to revisit this DIY project. I'm looking for a new shelf but black with Goldilocks, none of them were quite right. but through my searches I stumbled upon these shelf brackets and I thought this is exactly what I need! And it was. super easy to install I let my nine-year-old help it took us maybe 30 minutes and a lot of that was gathering the tools I needed, explaining everything I was doing , allowing her to help and just making sure that everything was level. The brackets hold the shelf perfectly and as you can see my DVD player is sitting on top of the shelf just waiting for me to sweat to the oldies or do some yoga booty ballet! I highly recommend this product if you have a similar need!

Small but sturdy floating shelf anchors. Mine are holding a 36 in long, 9.5 in deep and 5/8 in thick. The shelf is full of my daughter's collectibles.

I saved glass shelves from my old medicine cabinet and when I realized they didn’t fit the new one I thought I could make a glass shelf for over the toilet. I searched Amazon for brackets that would work for the right thickness. Okay I was a little skeptical HOWEVER they turned out to be AWESOME. They look great and very easy to install!! I would highly recommend this product. I had a second shelf and waited to see how this worked. I ordered it for a different bathroom in another finish. Again awesome!

I was in a hurry to get my remodel done at the start of Covid 19. I could not find anywhere local that could ship them in time. My Contractor is a snow bird and he only had a little over a week left to finish. These have a great cushion. He said they were easy to install. I wasn't crazy about the bulkiness. But then again the ones I wanted initially were very unique and slim. These are sturdy. They look okay if your one who likes this kind of look. My contractor loved them and so did my husband.

I read these reviews and hopefully I can help with install to make it super easy. I drew a line with my level and marked the hole points. I drilled the drywall with a 7/32 drill bit and used #8 Nylon Drywall anchor screws. I use these for any drywall project as they much more secure. You will have to buy those separately. I took the brackets apart and secured the top pieces with longer screws as I was using 1/2" piece of glass 6"x24". Took the level to check again to be sure. Then fed the screw through the bottom pieces to within about 6/8", put the black plastic cushions back on, set the glass and tightened the screws. Glass is level both directions and the whole process took less than 30 minutes.

After kicking around the idea of how to mount some 2'x1' 1/4" glass shelves we settled on this type of bracket to be less obtrusive on the wall. Seemed like a good idea. It takes quite a bit of minute fiddling to actually assemble the two pieces back together after installing the small piece on the wall. I broke one of the small wall mounts screwing the bottom up to the glass, pretty cheap cast metal. The screws and anchors provided may be sufficient for concrete block construction, however not so much for sheetrock or plaster. We had to buy separate hollow wall anchors. The complete lack of instructions made this a learn as you go proposition. I had to shim the large bearing surface on all the brackets to get the shelves level, maybe because the anchors have thin contact plates that interfere with the design. It was also annoying that the small top plastic pieces that contact the glass are loose so difficult to install. I also only received 6 of the seven I ordered due to the package being torn open but there did not appear to be anyway to report this particular issue, so now I have received 3 more pairs and evidently more are on the way. After several months the top shelf bracket failed and took out another shelf on the way down. Surprisingly neither of the untempered shelves broke. I was using the shelves to display jewelry boxes and shaker boxes I have made. 2 of the jewelry boxes broke, 1 I can fix, the other I will repurpose. We are replacing this system with a different one. I had planned to weigh the shelf and boxes but I don't think they exceeded 25 lbs. DO NOT BUY.

Save your money. Back bracket is wafer thin and snapped just trying to screw it to the wall (by hand). Probably the same for every other imported shelf bracket in this price range.
