Rustic Genuine Leather Pencil Roll - Pen and Pencil Case - Dark Brown

I just received this today and absolutely adore it. Finally, an adult pen organizer. This was purchased to organize all my is entangling pens which I previously kept in one of the single pocket pen organizers. It has been a real hassle to rummage through that the pocket every time I need to find the specific pen I needed. Now, each pen is in the little pocket and I know exactly where to reach for the pen that I need. Granted as others have said, the stitching does not extend all the way down to keep each of the pen bottoms separate from each other. This doesn't bother me as I am not using them to store wildly expensive pens, just my Copic SPs & some Microns, and they don't mind touching. I also agree with others who commented that its current design keeps the bulk factor down - which is of more value to me. You can customize it easily with 2 stitches towards the end of each pen "pocket". That'd be enough to keep them from clanging loose. Also as others have mentioned, The pen pockets are not huge and will not accommodate the Mont Blanc style pen. It's perfect for microliners like Copics & Microns and I imagine any type of cross pen will fit easily. They start out initially snug even for my Copics; but remember, it's leather and will stretch. Lastly, to address the gentleman who mentioned his displeasure that his came as a bifold instead of the trifold as pictured in the description: yes it does arrive folded in half as in a bifold. But please, think about it, it's one piece of leather. You can make it a trifold just by folding it as such. You can also just make it a standard roll by rolling it up. Common sense ya'll; it's a flat piece of leather with some pockets sewn in. Shape it however you please. Again, I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase and look forward to the leather softening and aging with time. Until then, I'll help it along by manhandling it often.

This is a great pencil case that I happen to stumble upon because I was looking for one that did not use a zipper. It is easy to unfold and you have access to all your desired pen/pencils. There is a space to put papers, books, and extra lead inside the main pocket and the one small pocket. The cord is extra long so you can trim it if you wish. Once the leather softens up, it is even better. A lot of people will comment on this because of the leather. For size reference, you can fit two Bic pens side by side (cap off) into one of the slots. You can also fit two Pentel mechanical pencils (.2, .3, .5) side by side in the same slot. I measured a cap that was 1/2" in diameter and it seems to be pushing the max, so do not slot anything bigger than this in my opinion. People love this pencil case even though it is old fashion and has no zipper. I bought it three times already, I gift this item to others often and they love. It is simple, elegant, and it works.

Just received this case today and I’m very happy with it. As few quick things: First, when received this was packages as a bifold case, not true fold as pictured in the product description. As you can see in my photos, it was very easy to tri - fold this and get the leather to conform. Second, as other reviewers mentioned, this leather is rather stiff - as it is genuine leather and not faux. It is not overly thick leather.My solution for the stiffness was simple - I treated the entire case with a good layer of leather conditioner (Saphir creme universelle leather balm, to be exact) and let it sit for one hour. I then shined the entire case with a brown cream shoe shine and re-folded andlet sit for another few hours. While these steps did slightly darken the color (which I like!) they did wonders for the softness of the case and ensured that the leather will conform to the trifold. I will check back with more one I’ve used this for a while, but first impressions, and “preparation” to get this product exactly how I like, are good!! Nice looking case!

Just right for storing 5 or 6 pens/pencils. Keeps them in one place and free from damage.

Overall nice quality, but a little misleading. The stitching in the open pictures leads one to belive that each of the pencil slots has an individual sleeve for the pencils. In reality the backing only goes down about a 1.5 inches and the rest is hanging out in the same back pocket. This might not be a problem if youre using them for just pencils and other things you dont care if they get messed up in the back, but if you bought it to have some nicer pens and pencils in it then make sure that you dont put anything that might mess up your pens in the open back pocket since it will be loose and rubbing on the pencils in the slots. Its honestly a bit dissapointing since now I can either choose to have my favourite pens/pencils in the slots but nothing else in the back or just use it for general supplies. Update 9/26 Some of the stitching has come undone already which is a shame. Perfectly usable still but I wonder what the durability will be if its already coming apart with little use.

Leather is not the best, smells more like pu leather than genuine leather. Can be a great product if the leather was upgraded a bit. Does have a logo, which in the pictures it doesn’t show.
