I've been struggling lately to get a security system to suit my purpose of avoiding web based set up, SIM card use or the need for setting up WiFi just for this purpose. I've no idea why most manufacturers use such designs because they are fallible to fail in a number of ways. However, this set up by Tonton is a great improvement on all those over-complicated systems. It comprises of its own WiFi loop that needs no additional costs or wrangling set up nonsense over the internet. You simply switch on the camera and nvr and it's up and running, seconds after unpacking. I didn't expect the WiFi to have much power as needed to get through/past two 2' thick stone walls of my old cottage to reach the camera I located on an outbuilding 50' away, so was expecting to need an extender. However that was unnecessary because there was ample strength of signal to do this, and the neat 7" screen showed a crisp clear image of the pathway leading to the house. I made one error in set up by accidentally setting a period when the camera would record (and hence one where it would not!) I soon figured out I was trying to view it at a time I'd set for it to be off (I suppose it saves space on the memory card if you set it not to record while you're at home). It's now set to record continuously as I've not the best of memories so can do without all that faffing about. But you have also the option of recording only when human movement is detected by the camera but on the continuous record I can catch any animal that strays into view by day or night. As you can imagine, loving in a rural place lots of interesting creatures are about at night so it'll be a bonus to see what comes to visit. The camera has 3m pixels so gives excellent clarity by day or night.So if you want a hassle -free security system with no additional costs associated with SIM cards or special WiFi setup, this is the system and manufacturer to choose. I only bought a one-camera set up so as to try it first, but it's so good I'm definitely going to but two or three more because these can all be added to the NVR seamlessly using it's split screen feature. A really amazing system and I highly recommend it.And by the way, if you're determined on a mobile phone access to the camera or use of the internet for the system app, that's all also available to you with this kit!

Unit arrived and was packaged brilliantly, equipment is of a high quality finish, very easy to install and easy to set up but I did need some technical assistance which was offered in a responsive way by Susan and the team, thank you

I bought this system to cover the garage area at the back of the house and am very pleased with the results. Apart from the connection of the cameras to a mains supply socket (a 10m extension cable was a must as the power lead is only about 2m long) everything else is done wirelessly. The NVR immediately picked up the cameras signal showing a lovely clear image and wirelessly connecting the NVR to my broadband hub was as easy as connecting my phone to it.Motion activation of the cameras is very good too and the clever thing is that the recording starts a few seconds before whatever has activated it comes into view. You don't miss a thing and recording space on the memory card is saved. My cameras are not positioned in a particularly busy area with little or no activation at night but in 2 days of use I have only used about 1.5GB of memory so that should give about 3 weeks of recording on a 32GB memory card.I've tried out the alerts to my phone too and again I am very pleased with the results. Still trying to figure out how to delete the saved recordings off my phone but that's a minor problem which will hopefully be solved soon but if not I'm sure Milly at customer services will come to my aid.31/Jan/2021 - The saved recordings on my phone as previously mentioned are only there for 3 days so there is no problem with them using up too much memory. There is still an option to save a particular clip the "Screenshot/Recording" menu if you want to keep it.

For the price of this all in one system its amazing, Very easy to set up and use and very handy you can take it anywhere in the house wire free.A lot of info is provided BUT the important info is missing... I needed a simple all in one system for an elderly fella with No internet or smart phone and was hard to find info as to what would and wouldnt work for him. The answers to the questions I asked were very vague and didnt truly answerThis system Does NOT require internet to be used is in basic form.The wifi for the cameras is its own network and provides a good strong signal from a good distance. It has good clear image quality and good clarity.Ideal for use in remote places as everything is recorded on the system itself

I am very pleased with the system and the quality of it with the remote access and 2 way audio capability a significant bonus.Follow the instructions carefully to include charging the batteries (especially for the first time) and adding camera's - it's not as difficult as it first looks.Lots of setup menu options too to set things up how you want to.The recordings are in MP4 format so if I want to keep a recording (as the SD Card overwrites) then I just slot the SD card into my laptop and copy the file over and it plays with a suitable player App - Apple users though beware as straight MP4's do not play on iPhone - you'll need to convert them to an Apple compatible video file.I did a lot of trawling around and reading reviews etc. before ordering this system and I'm pleased I did.Any queries I've made to Tonton's customer service have been answered swiftly and comprehensively and fingers crossed everything has just worked including remote access to view live and playback via a web app.If installing through a cavity wall I'd recommend a small IP44 rated or above adaptable box to take the power connection lead is installed either just above or below the camera mount - your choice - as the power lead from the camera is not really long enough to get inside the house to further connect to a power socket.Highly recommended.

This monitor and camera set linked up quickly and did not require any internet service to function. A mini SD card and batteries for the monitor were included in the kit. The camera has good "spotlight" illumination at night. A screensaver "clock" is a update we have noticed that is different from the previous monitor purchased from the same company last year. Once activity is detected, the clock displaying (military style 24 hour time) instantly changes back to the camera view. Hopefully this will promote longer life for the monitor.

Amazingly easy to set up. No passwords. No OCR scanning. Great video. I wish it had a bigger monitor, 10" or more. or a video output BNC.

Il prodotto sembra ottimo, ma purtroppo nn avendo istruzioni in Italiano e davvero complicato riuscire a impostarlo. Purtroppo nemmeno su internet si trova un manuale in Italiano.
