TOOTH FAIRY BARBIE DOLL
I was very pleased with price and doll. Very pretty. The box was OK, not pristine, but the doll was secure inside and never opened. They disclosed that before I ordered. I didn't want the box anyway. It arrived earlier than expected and doll in new condition.

Beautiful Curvy Barbie doll with new articulated body
With this doll, Mattel has come out with an articulated body for the newer Curvy style doll. That's wonderful! I'm hoping to see a more fully articulated doll (such as the Made-to-Move dolls) in this body as well as in Petite and Tall styles. Nighttime Glamour (aka Metallic Mini) has the more refined and elegant articulation that is common in “The Look” line of adult dolls. Her knee joints are quite different from last years The Look dolls and are much more similar to those of the year before. Having said that, the knee joint is still somewhat visible on my doll and the shade of the joint is darker than that of the body of the doll. It's noticeable but not as bad as the Pool Chic from last year. She has waist length hair that has a center part which is smooth and is gathered into a modified pony tail (only the sides are in the band) and the remainder of her hair is very curly. So much so, that her hair is bundled into a deep burgundy hair net inside the packaging. The promo pictures do not show the net but it is quite noticeable in the box. I was able to carefully remove it and will keep it in case I want to store this Barbie in the future.Barbie has two tone brown eyes with very natural makeup. Her lids are slightly lighter than her body tone, there is a slight blush to her cheeks and her lips are a slightly peachier tone of her skin – very elegant and refined. Her painted on eyebrows are a darker brown and her lashes are more black in tone. For those who track this kind of information, her face mold is Carnaval. The body tone of this doll is medium brown. She has articulation at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. Her ankles which do not bend. Her hands have mostly divided fingers with only the middle and ring fingers on each hand molded together. While she has distinct nails, there is no polish on the nails. The clothing on this doll is pretty and has an evening out vibe. The dress has gathered long sleeves with v-neck collar. It reaches mid-thigh. The material is non-stretch woven with teal, white, yellow and metallic gold thread details to make the pattern. The dress has full length princess seams and has top stitched hem at the wrists and hem. The dress closes in the back with three metal snaps. It really could have used a fourth one as there is a slight gap in the dress between the second and third snap.Barbie has on gold plastic open toe shoes with high heels and an ankle strap. The shoes are easily removable. Her accessories include plastic metallic shiny gold hoop earrings (not matte as shown in the promo pictures), a gold metallic plastic ring, a metallic gold smart phone, a deeper gold tone compact that opens and closes (with a much darker shade than in the photos and without, unfortunately, a “mirror” on the inside, a tube of lipstick with a top that can be taken off and on, and a gold metallic clutch that doesn't open and close. I really wish they had made the purse functioning as it would have been perfect to store her accessories. While there are things I wish Mattel had improved upon, the doll is really quite wonderful as is. She has a very classy sophisticated look. She celebrates her love of yellow gold tones in her clothing and accessories. The gold tone looks beautiful with her skin tone and her multi-color brown/gold hair. I'm so happy that Curvy is now articulated and hope to see this articulation move into the other Barbie lines as well.

What a beautiful doll! (and the toys are great too!)
This is the first 'vintage' Barbie that I have purchased. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her in an old Barbie Bazaar magazine that I ordered from Amazon. She came with so many neat little toys that I grew up with, and her clothes were so retro 50s! I was a bit dismayed at her very stiff hair, but I suppose that is one way to keep it pristine, my childhood 1960s Barbies' hair is a bit worse for wear, but then again, we played with them, a lot! I had fun looking at the view master, the photos are very small, but pretty clear, and I also spent a short time asking the magic 8 ball a few questions, I had both of these toy too! I never had the Barbie game, and this tiny one was hard to open without damaging the box, but once I carefully pried it open, all its little treasures awaited me inside! Teeny cards, 2 game pegs and one tiny die, the instructions are way to small to read and the board is as well, perhaps with a magnifier, but the detail is all there! And, a Certificate of Authenticity and a doll stand were included in the underneath of the box, I discovered them when I went to remove Barbie from her cardboard home. Extras!! For the price I paid, I think I got a deal. While I may never remove her clothes and I certainly would NOT allow her to be played with by a child, I am experienced a child-like glee getting her out of the box and setting her up in my living room. I usually buy books about the dolls from my childhood, but I may have to save my pennies and get a few more 'vintage' Barbies and perhaps a Francie too!

She is so elegant.
I absolutely love this doll. She is so beautiful. She is right in between a regular size Barbie and a curvy Barbie. She is not as articulated as the made to move Barbies but does have enough articulation to be able to pose her. What I love especially is her fingers. I think because she has bling on her ears with matching bling on her finger that they shaped her hands and fingers differently and just that tiny bit of difference (in my opinion) makes her photograph with more expression. I was delighted to see that another purchaser posted pictures with her hair straightened because she is just as beautiful with the straight hair. I have left her hair in tack because I am not done photographing her just the way she is. I made new clothes for her and made her look a little more casual but not even this casual look makes her appear any less elegant. Look at the photo of her where she is leaning up against the wall. Look how expressive her hands are. And look at the photos with the purse doesn't it look like she is in New York city (a little imagination needed) saying "Really? Did that taxi just drive past me?" It's the expression of those hands! She is definitely different because she has the fuller figure and is also a little bit articulated which makes her so fun to photograph. I hope Mattel makes more dolls like her. I am crazy about this doll.

Very long hair
Unfortunately her hair is not a good quality hair but if you carefully flatten it out with an ironing straightener you might be surprised with the results. I swapped her body with a made to move tennis player who is the perfect match by the way, because her body is also not a good quality one which I understand since the doll is supposed to fly then it has to be light. Her face mold is not one of my favourites but she is very beautiful and particularly I think she looked better after I fixed her hair. I applied silky serum to the ends of her hair to make it easier to brush. She is very expensive considering the poor quality of material she is made of but I am happy with my purchase anyways.
