Good Book for Teacher
This book has been helpful to my Algebra classes.

Misleading Title
So to start off, I'm a high school math teacher. Been teaching for 7 years now. So I do have a lot of experience using various supplemental materials in my classroom. The reason I gave this book 3 stars is mainly because of the misleading title. The activities and "real world" applications aren't very impressive and the majority of the book is worksheets. I was expecting in depth project base learning activities. However, as a worksheet book to be used as supplemental practice in class or for HW, this is a great option. So basically this book is useful depending on what you plan on using it for.

Worksheets organized by Topics
This book contains some useful worksheets, but is very similar to other resource books full of math worksheets. I bought this because I thought that "ready to use activities" implied that there were some project ideas that I could setup to get kids out of their desks, perhaps even outside the classroom. It should be called "Algebra Teacher's worksheet collection" - That being said, it is nice to have a set of worksheets so that when students are struggling with a topic and need some additional practice, I can copy some of these pages.

Intelligently wriiten, good for a higher level
These are nice to the point worksheets (not really fun activities) which do a good job of probing the different aspects of the topics they cover. However, a lot of them are too difficult for low level students. If you are looking for something to keep struggling, uncooperative kids on task, this is not the thing.

Just what I was looking for
This book is exactly what I needed for the algebra students I tutor, especially those working in small groups. There are review sheets for most Algebra I topics, including factoring, functions, graphing linear equations, and complex numbers, as well as concept reviews like absolute value and inequalities. Most of these worksheets are self-checking--the answers match to letters forming a name or phrase--so the students can usually tell whether they have gotten a wrong answer as they are working. This frees me to teach one student while the other works independently. I've used this book every day since I got it.

Same as above
He was looking for items that might help him teach and came across three books, these two are part of those three. Since it is Christmas and he has gotten older and I started having problems with Christmas presents, these books became a, know they are wanted, Christmas present.

Better than anything else I've seen
The worksheets are ok... And they are organized in different ways so that the students get several different ways of seeing the problems. I'm not so sure about "Real World Applications". Some of the riddles are fun, but they are fairly uninteresting and irrelevant to an urban high schooler.

Misleading Title
Despite the title's claims to the contrary, this is not a book of activities, but rather a collection of worksheets. Though I expect I will get some use out of it, it is not at all what I expected or what the publisher describes it as. I would also say that its connection to the "real world" is no greater than what you would find in your standard problem set. Disappointed.
