It does the job well.
It's good for the price. I needed a cordless screwdriver to put together a project for my mother. I was stumped as to which one I should get. Then I remembered many years ago I saw my older brother assembled two sets of bunk beds with the same screwdriver. I remembered how efficient he was with his tool. And that memory prompted me to get this particular Black& Decker product.

Low cost, low torque power screwdriver
I used to have a Skil power screwdriver (actually two of them) that I used quite frequently. They were handy for disassembling electronics and other items that are held together with a billion screws, and their limited torque helped prevent stripping out threads. The Skils gave up the ghost, or at least their batteries did, and I never bothered to replace them. I wasn't really fixing a lot of electronic stuff so I hadn't missed them much. Well, that was until recently when I had to disassemble/reassemble a laptop a half-dozen times to diagnose and fix a trackpad issue. I started to really miss the old power screwdriver, so I bought this. This is not a high-end tool, and that's OK. It's designed to be an inexpensive way to avoid having to turn screws by hand. I don't expect it to survive in an electrician's toolbag or a mechanic's shop, but for casual use it's perfect. I keep it charged and ready to go along with a bit holder and an assortment of bits (Philips, Torx, hex, etc.).My only nitpick is that it's slow. I've been spoiled by impact drivers that can run a screw out in a second flat. You have to be really careful using them on any screws threaded into plastic because it's easy to do some serious damage, but that speed is nice. This driver is stirring molasses by comparison. But that's a minor concern unless you're using it in a production environment, in which case you'd probably want something better anyhow. The purpose of this driver is to automate the repetitive motion of screwing or unscrewing, and it does that very well. At this price, I wouldn't be without it even though I use it sparingly.

A must have for flat pack assembly
I bought a dresser that came in two large heavy packages. A million parts, a million screws- At first I tried by hand. It lasted an hour. That night I bought this after reading on line it was good for flat pack assembly. Best decision I’ve ever made, I could have never sat there and done it by hand. It would have made me cry. I DIDN’T CRY! The battery was charged once on initially opening the package. Never slowed down after 4 days of use. Don’t wait buy this!!!

Really a great little tool.
Great power for a battery screwdriver. Long lasting and easy to use. Highly recommend it for most small projects.

Already dead, Kenshiro
Please read, in parts.¶ART 1: ***BUYER BEWARE!!!*** Aug 21 of 2022 to June 1 2023. Didn't even make it a full year. Wasn't even working it that hard. I have maybe charged the device a dozen times since getting it. I was on a job yesterday, and was unscrewing a hex key bolt (basically a bit that fits allen wrench sockets) on a server rack. Yeah... I hit the button to give it some juice, and then a snap. Now the rotary part, the most important part of the driver, doesn't turn anymore. It's a nice idea to have something USB rechargeable, but this didn't last even a year. The Amazon listing describes a two-year limited warranty... however, putting in a warranty claim is not possible through their website forms. Any repair this device faces is considered "factory overhaul" category, which means there is no repair covered.¶ART 2: I contacted a Black-Decker through the email form on their website. I gave them the invoice from Amazon as an attachment. A representative reached out by email and initiated a replacement.¶ART 3: I don't know what happened, but I ended up with a delivery of 3 different boxes, each containing a replacement driver. Now I have one for home and one to use at job sites.Considering that I now have three new drivers instead of one dead driver, I think I can safely bump this up to five stars. It seems they don't repair these units; they just replace them.

No torque at 3.5 years.
Worked well for 3.5 years. Clutch has failed now and there is no torque to the bit. 2-year warranty so I guess I got my money's worth. Still, given the light duty I put it to, I thought it should last longer.
