L'Oreal ParisMagic Perfecting Base Face Primer, 0.5 FL (oz)

This is probably the eighth time buying this primer and it's amazing!! I always always read the reviews on how good or bad a product is and then I buy it if it sounds promising, but let's face it one product may work wonders for someone and totally fail for someone else. However, this primer is honestly amazing for me! I'm in my mid 40's with combo skin, bigger pores and not to mention aging skin. Yes, I need all the help I can get. Now the product is a thicker primer, but not too thick and easy to apply. I do find it best after applying primer if I wait 5 to 10 before I apply my foundation. I work in a hotter environment and yes I sweat, but my foundation is still on at the end of the day! Sure by the end of the day my foundation and blush isn't as radiant as when I first put it on, but my foundation fades nicely ( if that makes any sense) and looks nice. With other primers I've used I look and feel so greasy I want to rush into the bathroom and wash my face cause my foundation looks so horrible, but not with this primer my makeup still looks nice! The only downside is the size. I do wear makeup every day so usually I can make this primer last 2 months. I hope this review was helpful.

I love this primer, it’s very smoothing and blurring. Doesn’t make my face oily and it only takes a tiny amount. It really just makes my face feel good and smooth. Foundation applies so easily over it and my makeup lasts all day long! I like that it’s fragrance free, also. A little goes a long way and this little glass jar will last a very long time! I will continue to reorder as long as it’s being sold!

I'm not sure this is the miracle product I'd hoped for based on some of the reviews, but I do like it, and I'd say it's definitely helpful. From the jar, it's a pale pink cream, but as you spread it on your skin it begins to dry quickly and has a light powdery texture. You have to work quickly because it dries almost as you apply it and once it's dry it's less spreadable. I found that I got the best results by being patient and working with very small amounts rather than dabbing on a large amount and trying to spread and blend it. If I applied too heavily it would begin to clump and brush off. I also found that putting it on very thin and light, and then reapplying another thin layer or two gave me better results. It seems to work better on very fine lines and I think that's because the powdery product fills the creases in your skin which would be harder to do on deeper creases. It feels very soft on your skin and doesn't have a noticeable scent. It doesn't look oily or shiny, but also doesn't look dry and cakey. It just has a nice, soft matte finish. I thought it was a little pricey for a half ounce jar, but a little seems to go a long way. If it lasts a while I'll be okay with the cost.

great product! leaves skin feeling smooth. is not oily. good filler. works as described. works better than many pricier products. The L'Oreal replacement sold in Ulta is oily and makes face look shiney.

Product is great, however, I didn’t realize I bought such a small jar. My own fault! It’s so tiny. Sharing a photo next to a regular size jar for reference.

I've always had problem skin, first as the acne poster child for a decade, followed in most recent decades with an oily sheen and blotchy texture. Uneven to the max. When I first learned about primers, it was a gift from heaven in having any help at all in improving my uneven facial skin color and texture. After trying a number of primers, L'Oreal has proved itself to be the best for me. It's a little heavier than most, which gives me excellent coverage, and it also goes on smoothly for my skin type. I use it after moisturizer and follow it with foundation Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Makeup, Nude, 1.0 Fl Oz. (I let each product set for 30 seconds or so before applying the next.)The ingredients (listed below) are unpronounceable and I would guess lab-synthesized. I don't care. But for someone looking for organic and natural, this isn't it. For me, it does a wonderful job of making my face and life smoother.
