this particular item states it's for heavy-set people...
and, it is. one thing to note is the front edge rising at a slight angle. if the back-crease of your knee is exactly at the edge, it might feel uncomfortable. good with or without a seat pad. does what it is intended for. have been using for a couple of years, now, and they are still holding up, well. they arrived in a small box; so, it was heavy to carry the entire box into the house. you might need to wheel it in in a large shopping cart, or use a home handtruck or dolly. or, open box and carry in two chairs at a time.

The Studiest Folding Chairs
Seriously, these are strong. They are rated for higher weight than regular folding chairs and the build quality is obvious. This is my second time ordering these exact same chairs. They aren't indestructible but they are the absolute best I've been able to find.

Great Chair, Minor Drawbacks
Great chairs for larger adults with double braces and double hinges. Seat is a little higher than our old ones, helpful for older adults with mobility issues. Fold easily and nest compactly for storage. One complaint is lack of clearance between the seat and backrest when folded, so it is impossible to carry more than one chair in each hand. They are also a bit oversized for standard hanging racks, so we had to hang the bottom chairs on the bottom rung and the top chairs on the middle rung (see photo).

Great Chairs for a Large Guy
I've lost over 100lbs recently, but I bought these chairs when I weighed 435lbs and they held me just fine without making me worried. At 435lbs you can only imagine how many chairs I've broken in my day...and that's a pretty awful feeling. When I heard that we were having a huge company meeting and I saw the cheap chairs that my company bought for all of us to sit in for 8 hours straight 2 consecutive days in a row I knew they would never hold me and I really didn't want to break a chair in front of my entire company during the biggest meetings of the year. I looked at a bunch of different options and these chairs had the best reviews so I took a shot with them. They are absolutely wonderful! I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still a metal fold-out chair so it's not like it's the definition of comfort or anything, but they aren't any less comfortable than any other fold-out chair I've ever tried either. When a strong and sturdy fold-out chair is what you're looking for, you don't need to look any further than here, these are the chairs that you're looking for!I didn't really need 4 of them, but I keep one at work just in case I get called into a meeting and need a sturdy chair, I keep another in my workshop for mobile seating wherever I'm working, and the other two are just spares at the house in case we ever need more seating. I didn't need four but I'm happy to have all of them!

Could use a little tweaking
The chairs are very sturdy, seat is comfortable to sit on, good value. But the backs of the chairs are very uncomfortable. I could not sit on the chair because the back dug into my back and hurt like heck within the 1st minute. I don't know why, if they are not long enough, or it has something to do with the angle/shape. There is definitely a slight design flaw there.

Broken after light use.
I was looking for new folding chairs since some we have owned for 30+ years had recently broken or were looking a little worse for wear because a member of my family took a couple out side. These folding chair are mostly used for extra seating when we have guest. The failure point on the couple that have broken seemed to be the cross braces on the legs were welded and the weld broke. So when I saw these with the riveted and double braces in the back I was excited. Plus they claimed to have a wieght capacity of 480 pound. This was a selling point for me as some member of my family are plus size, including me. But all of us are well under 480 pounds. The chairs were purchased at the end of May. So we have only had these for less than 5 months. Also only one has been used for any significant amount of time, they are not in use on a dialy basis. The main one in use had maybe been sat in for couple hours maximum on about 7 random days since we recieved them.Today I was sitting in the chair when one side of the seat collapsed. Now I will admit that I am a larger person but I am will under 480 pounds. The bolt through the front leg that attaches the seat pulled through the hole in the leg and the seat.So now I have three remaining chairs of dubious quailty and am out $80. I now have to decide if I want to continue to use the remaining chairs or cut my losses and go on the hunt for quailty chairs again. The quailty of folding chairs made nowadays seems to be very much inferior to the ones made in the past. As I said we have had about 10 chairs from various brands for well over 30+ years only 2 have failed after many years of use. I looked at numerous brands of chairs, including some from the brand of chairs we already own, before deciding on these. But they all are made differently and/or are of noticeable lesser materials.

Excellent chairs; very happy!
Hands down the sturdiest, most comfortable all-metal folding chairs I’ve ever used. They don’t even fold up when too much weight is on the back of the seat. A 60lb child stood on one and leaned against the chair back and it didn’t collapse (thankfully, and surprisingly- though I would not recommend trying this or trusting the chairs to repeat this). They are heavier than most folding chairs, but not enough heavier to warrant dismissing these. They really are very strong, well-designed, and well-constructed. We use them nearly everyday and take them to watch 2hr classes (due to covid rules, we can’t observe from inside anymore and it’s too long to stand). I don’t know how much weight they could reasonably handle; the heaviest person using them here is 140lbs.The paint doesn’t scuff or scratch easily. There are few light scuffs after bumping into each other in the van on the highway for 2 hours every week. We pile all four on top of one another and they’re fine. They stack nicely and don’t even make much sound while traveling. They are very smooth, so if you want to add cushions, use a sticky mat underneath or cushions that are made to stay put; otherwise they will slide off.The seat portion does tilt toward the back a little, which I personally don’t prefer, but this is a small complaint because there is nowhere else to find fault with these chairs. They’re very good.
