My retirement home in South Carolina does not have the frost free spigots like my home in the North and since this was an unusually cold winter, I bought these to install on the spigots on my home and work shop. With the ice storms and power losses, so far nothing has frozen. The covers fit well against the brick and can be cinched down with the draw string to remain in place even with 50MPH winds. I recommend using a water repellant to help keep the moisture (especially ice) from degrading their performance and remove them once there is not more chance of a freeze. I'm not sure how well they would hold up to the southern sun rays. I have already recommend them to a friend

I've tired every type of faucet cover made and most would last through only one winter. I bought new ones every year. These covers are very well made and are made to last and they are a lot easier to install and they stay on, not like the Styrofoam ones that constantly blew off in a strong wind. They fit the spigot securely and made to last for a lot longer. Sure they may cost more than a dollar, but you end up saving money with these. Plus the birds won't peck at these like they do with the Styrofoam covers.

I have tried the styro foam type of faucet protectors and they are bulky and hard to use...awkward, at least for me.These softer faucet covers work great, much easier to handle and use, especilly in wind and cold if you need to adjust them.We put the first one on the barn faucet for the horses, and so far its been down to 6 degrees, and the faucet has not frozen at all. We have another one outside for the dogs and it has not frozen either.I am thrilled with this purchase and highly recommend. Very High Quality Material and construction, easy to handle and use.

Great faucet insulator where the wall surface is uneven.We have a stone exterior and this product installs and removes easily and protects the faucet from any cold weather we might get in North Carolina.This is the first season for this product, but it looks very durable and should last for years.

Bought this with the intention of using it to cover an outdoor faucet. The cover turned out to be too large and bulky to stay put on the faucet but I found an alternate use for it. Made well and nicely insulated.

The 4 outdoor faucets on our house stick out from the stone (i.e., there's a piece of pipe then the faucet). Cannot even use the styrofoam covers found at hardware stores and other sock-like covers are too short. These are PERFECT! They are long enough to get right up to the stone of the house and so easy to close. I knew they'd be a winner when I saw the dimensions, so I bought a second set.

In general like these faucet covers very much. They are reasonably priced, can be easily and quickly placed on a faucet or removed, and can provide a more flush fit against uneven exterior brick or wood walls than might be possible when using rigid Styrofoam and plastic shell faucet covers.

I originally purchased these outdoor faucet covers in black a couple of years ago. They are well insulated and easy to use. You simply wrap them around the faucet and use the built-in string to secure them. They have kept my pipes from freezing for the last two years. While we don't have fridget winters in Houston we do have several freezes every winter. This product works well and has protected my pipes. Thumbs up!
