Way Better Than Expected!
This antenna honks!!!!I bought this antenna because of my experience both using and building Yagi-style antennas. Yagis are highly directional with a narrow bandwidth. After the recent channel repack by the FCC, I thought it had a decent chance of covering the now compacted UHF TV spectrum where all but two of my nearby channels were located.Assembly was very easy. After hooking it up in my attic and scanning for channels, I was stunned to see that it picked up more channels at better signal strength than my old antenna. My old antenna was a bow-tie version that cost six times as much as this Yagi. I was impressed! If you need a highly-directional TV antenna to pick up channels in the UHF band, this would be a great choice. This Mediasonic antenna is very powerful. It's also very inexpensive.

Very nice antenna for the price.
Seems like it's going to be a decent antenna. It's light weight with a thin boom but it is also fairly small so I'm hoping it will hold up ok. It assembles in 2 pieces and is creatively secured by wing nuts with a little o-ring to keep them secured. I think lock washers would have been a better choice. I sued a little thread locker on each screw to make sure they don't loosen up and the antenna comes apart in a storm. It's not as meaty as the RCA antennas (that are made in USA) but to be fair it was also almost 1/2 the price. Over-all for the price I think it is a decent antenna. Will update this after I have some time on it. Will update with data on range too, I'm about 70mi from the transmitter towers. Right now I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. And yes, this is a UHF only antenna. It pretty much covers all the digital channels but won't cover any of the old analog ones below ch14. Should be no big deal since the digital channels for 2 - 13 have been re-mapped to UHF anyhow. One thing I did especially like on this one is the pick up element with the type-F antenna port mounted as an assembly. Nice and clean.Update: Antenna is up and working great. I have it at a cabin about 60 miles from the transmitter towers, about 10' up in the air and it is working great. Strong solid signals on all the channels. Very happy. Next test is to see how it survives the spring storms. Easily worth the money though.

Excellent Value
I was using an indoor antenna to receive a TV broadcast from a local transmitter. While the distance wasn't great, the ever increasing foliage was creating some problems and I had to step up to an exterior antenna. I knew I wanted a simple Yagi antenna and I picked this one based on its small size and LOW PRICE. My expectations were low but I wasn't seeking a lot of performance, I just needed a little bit of gain to overcome my reception problems.I WAS AMAZED AT HOW WELL THIS $20 ANTENNA WORKED ! II needed to pull in a UHF signal from less than 10 miles away and that was no problem. However, with this antenna I was able to get signals from over 60 miles away and that was despite the mountainous terrain and low install height. The performance of this budget antenna is very good.I grew up in the era of analog VHF & UHF broadcast TV. Long before satellite and cable TV were the norm, I was using antennas to receive broadcast TV, often over great distances. Years ago I would use separate dedicated high gain UHF & VHF antennas, mounted on tall structures with rotors and amplifiers to receive TV signals from 50-60 miles away. This little $20 Yagi outperforms some of my old, highly engineered, set ups and it does it from 8' off the ground with no amp and a fixed mount.Obviously every situation is different. Terrain, distance, transmitter power and interference will factor into any installation but for $20 - this little Yagi is worth a try.

Can't even pick up the station 10 miles away
We have an internal 1byone 50 Mile Range Amplified HDTV Antenna, with Detachable Amplifier Signal Booster for the Highest Performance and 10 Feet Coaxial Cable-Black antenna that works great. We bought this antenna in the hopes of picking up a few more stations. Not only did we not pick up any more stations, we can't even pick up the stations that are 10 miles away. The reception is spotty at best. Half the time we can't even pick up the stations, and when we can, it's heavily broken up. And yes, we've tried changing the angle of the antenna. Nothing works. This antenna is worthless. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

Extremely good value antenna
Extremely good value and this was easy to install and works very well. I use it to supplement a ClearStream antenna for most of my channels, but there were always 2 channels that I had difficulty receiving after cutting the cord, one a PBS channel and the other an ABC channel. It was important to me to receive both of these channels and I had been getting them intermittently with frequent pixelation. Since installing the Mediasonic antenna, aimed directly at the PBS channel, I was able to change the direction of the Clear Stream slighty, so that I now pick up the ABC channel very well, plus all the other channels I wanted. I get 32 channels now, very quickly and reliably and have no more cable bill. I live near a lake, surrounded by trees, about 50 miles from Charlotte and this antenna was the final piece to my cord-cutting puzzle. With my 32 channels, plus Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, and Acorn, I pay less than $45/month for TV, compared to over $100 per month I was paying. I wouldn't be without Netflix and Amazon Prime, even if I still had cable, so essentially I'm saving over $75/month by cutting the cord.
