Great addition to our dry-erase board
I purchased these magnetic data card holders to go with an "In/Out" dry-erase board that we also purchased. I used one magnet for each persons name so that we could keep track of who was going where or what phone extension they had. I purchased these magnets because when I selected the dry-erase board I wanted these came up as a "people who bought this, also purchased this" recommendation. I cut card stock to fit perfectly into the magnet and used a label maker to print the names. My only complaint is that the magnets are about a quarter inch too big for the provided lines on the white board. It is still working great though. We just have to do two names, leave a space, two names, leave a space. Fortunately, the board is large enough, that the needed gaps aren't causing any trouble.

Gets the Job Done
A little smaller than I thought (my fault for not reading the description) but it still works for what I want. I wanted to make sliding "done" "not done" lists for my kids and these worked great. Very strong magnet, nice and thick material so it doesn't feel like it will break. The only complaint is that they come covered in like dust on the rubber (not hard plastic). I had to rub each one down with a towel. I assume it is just manufacturing but still a little annoying, not enough for me to take away a star though. :)

No inserts, inconvenient
These were great. I was under the impression that they came with the inserts. Maybe I misunderstood. Cutting out your own paper is inconvenient and a hassle. So if you’re in the same boat, buy the ones that come with the inserts

Does not come with paper inserts
Does not come with paper inserts, so these are more work than I would prefer. But then again, I'm fairly lazy. They do the job and hold my sad, hand-cut paper blanks fine for the most part, but it's hard to be very precise by eyeballing the cuts, so the inserts are normally a bit small, and want to fall out, or are a bit large and look wrinkle-y. But I'm using them to label drawers on a metal tool chest, so they work fine for me.

Work as expected, excel helps with paper.
Magnetic enough for my white board and file cabinets.Using excel, go to the Page Layout view, set all margins to 0.Then go to the view tab, and 4x12 grid to one sheet of (8.5x11) paper and set the width of 4 columns to 2.0 inches, and the height of 12 rows to about .87 inches -> .86 is pretty loose, and .89 causes the paper to bow slightly inside the magnet.Give the 4x12 gird borders on all edges.!! Be sure you only print the pages that you have squares on. Sometimes it seems that messing with the Page Layout likes to try to print the entire spreadsheet (thousands of pages).

Worked just as I had hoped
Worked great for kids to move their magnets onto different sign-in/out boards as they rotated through activity stations. We used these with the color-coded card inserts for different grade-levels in our program. We covered the inserts with clear labels, and they lasted for the entire school year. The name cards were big enough to be read easily, but the magnets were small enough to fit onto tray-sized magnet boards to become portable rosters for each group's counselors.

Works for me!
The only reason for 4 stars is, no labels included. I knew that when I ordered but I feel they would be a 5 star item "with" labels. Without they are only 4 stars from me. I made the labels and all is good. You get pretty many for your money too. So they are a good value in that way.
