Shrimp Fit

Shrimp seems to like it but only needs to feed less than a scoop

I have a 5-gal planted tank with cherry shrimp, ramshorn snails, and two pygmy cories. I was having problems with shrimp survival. I was feeding them sinking pellets, and even though they ate well, something was wrong. Adults would slowly die off. A few would have babies successfully, then die. The babies would grow, then start to die off. My colony wasn't thriving. All the water parameters were great, I had a consistent weekly cleaning and water change routine, and the aquarium had been established for over six months. I'm experienced in the hobby, so I wasn't killing the shrimp in any of the standard novice ways.I started using GlasGarten Bacter AE, Shrimp Fit, Mineral Junkie Pearls, and Shrimp Baby about a year ago, and now I have a thriving colony that's always reproducing, growing, and surviving. It went from 15 adults to 70+ cherries of varying ages in that time. Here's my feeding regimen:Days 1 & 4: Bacter AE, Hikari Shrimp Cuisine pelletsDays 2 & 5: Shrimp Fit, Mineral Junkie PearlsDays 3 & 6: Shrimp Baby, NLS AlgaeMax pelletsDay 7: water change, no foodA little goes a long way with the powder foods. I dose 1/64 tsp, which is way less than the scoop that comes with the foods. I always have berried females and thriving shrimplets. Now I have so many shrimp that I moved some into my 55-gal aquarium. The four GlasGarten products I use work well together, and I highly recommend them.

This is a great shrimp food that disperses through the entire tank so all shrimp can feed. That said, use about half the recommended amount, and for best results I turn my pump off for about 20 min to let it all settle instead of getting blown around and filtered out. I put it in a small cup, add some aquarium water and swirl it around before pouring it in. I feed this as shrimp fit from the same company 4 times a week, and a couple of sinking foods on other days.

I recently got this because my shrimp were starting to die off, and was having a hard time molting. The day this came in, I had a shrimp going through a bad molt in an observation cage. It was very lethargic and laying on it's back, unable to eat. I put this in the tank, and the next day the shrimp was swimming around, fighting off the molt. The day after that, it was back to normal. I also bought the mineral junkie food, but they don't seem to have much interest yet. ShrimpFit is a MUST HAVE.

I'm not sure if this really is necessary or if I am seeing any improvements on the health of my neos. Quality company and too many people swear by it. I'm not really a sheep person that follows what others do, but in this case I'll defer to the experts and keep using.

This stuff completely changed the behavior in my shrimp, clearly the nutrients supplied in this stuff is what they needed. They are much more active, healthier looking, and behaving in ways that they should. Prior to feeding my shrimp this product I thought I only had 8 living shrimp in the tank, in 3 days they all regrouped and turns out I have over 50 alive! This is absolutely a product I will keep buying.
