Worked perfectly on a 2019 prius, easy to use and reasonably priced.
I bought this to reset the check engine light on my 2019 Toyota Prius after changing out the water pump. I wanted to ensure that there were not any additional error codes hiding underneath the main code for the water pump before simply resetting the CEL. It turns out there were 2 codes thrown which this unit clearly specified by listing both the code and the meaning of the code in clear, simple English (no need to look up the code online). This is a huge improvement over a much older OBD-2 reader that I own which is finicky and annoying to use. Furthermore this unit immediately turned on and just worked as soon as it was plugged into the OBD-2 port. For the price it is an excellent tool to add to your toolkit if you do any sort of work on cars. I did not try out the battery check feature so I can not really comment on that.Overall, if you are in need of an OBD-2 reader I would definitely recommend this one. It is easy to use, requires no setup, works perfectly and is reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

Really nice
I got this to upgrade from an "Autel MS300" code reader that I've had for a while. Works perfect on 1997 Chevy Blazer. This is an excellent scanner for the money price. It reads codes and tell you what the code is for instead of just showing a number that you have to research afterwards. It reads a lot of live data, and when my gauges weren't working I was using this to measure my vehicle speed, engine RPM and coolant temp. It's not very rugged, so don't expect to be using this in a high-demand shop environment unless you're like me and really take care of your equipment. This is excellent for beginners or DIY folks that just want more options in scanning their vehicles without having to break the bank.I keep mine in my center console. It's really nice. Get it!

Works Well for Personal Use
I worked professionally performing car diagnostics for a little while, so I guess you could say my expectations were really high to begin with. I don't have any complaints and so far I've used it for three different vehicles (two Fords and a Toyota). It's intuitive if you have some experience with diagnostics, but the instructions are very brief, so if you get this, you might want someone a little more knowledgeable to help you navigate it.I didn't compare it to any other tools at the same time, but it did read an engine code on one vehicle that I was expecting, along with showing ignition count since last DTC on another vehicle, and that number was about what I expectedFunctionality wise, it's great; it reads DTCs pretty quick, and if there is a code, gives a short description of the issue. Also shows Live Data, which can be a great resource if you're troubleshooting something that doesn't throw a code (like why your AC isn't as cold as it should be).Only reason for not doing 5/5 stars is because I'm used to advanced diagnostics and this device made me feel very limited (for personal use, I think this device is perfectly fine).

Good scanner and easy to use.
Never leave home without it. We do a lot of long camping trips. We have had times when the check engine light comes on and we are miles from no where. Most of the time it's nothing and the scanner tells you that. Lets you know if it is safe to keep traveling of call a tow. One time it was just a glow plug so no problem continuing on. It also allows you to delete the engine light so you don't have to see it all the time till you get the problem repaired.

Works on all my vehicles…Ford F150, Toyota Prius, Ford C-Max, Chrysler Pacifica
Bought this product to check the battery integrity of my Toyota Prius. The product gave me all the information I needed to know about the status of the battery. If your car throws out a check-engine warning light this unit gives you the information you need to know without having to look up the codes on-line. This is very handy. I have a different unit (same manufacturer) that will give you the code, but you have to look up the code on-line to ascertain the problem. This product is much more intuitive and easier to use. Select the menu you need on the display and off you go. I have four different vehicles and it works flawlessly on all of them. If you need a code reader you can’t go wrong with this one. For what this product does the price is right, too.
