Good light for most.
This light would be EXCELLENT for any freshwater system, as for saltwater nano reefs. I successfully grew everything from Softies to LPS in a 5.5 gallon with average growth. It honestly can sustain coral life, just in very shallow waters, also the light is more "yellow" than my more expensive, but that is a given considered its price point. If you're wanting to keep softies and see some nice glow in a nano tank, this is a good cheap light to keep things living, it definitely isn't the best, but it works... exceptionally well.

I got this light and it was arrived perfectly its easy to assemble but I thought it would be brighter overall good light

Its a great light and really show cases your tank for pictures
Its a great light and really show cases your tank for pictures. I use this on my planted 3gal bowfront Mr Aqua, its the perfect size and rests about 5in or so about the water's surface. It does wonders for my low light and moderate light plants. My dwarf grass is stunted (whether that is the lights fault or not im not sure, it may be because i haven't decided to get a CO2 diffuser), but the duckweed grows rampant with this light.Would reccomend for low to moderate light requiring plants if thinking of of doing a planted tank.

Great light at this pricepoint
First off, to address the one star review about the light breaking the aquarium, the buyer clearly did not support the light or over tightened the screws.The build quality on this light is impressive at this price point. Solid aluminum. The arm holding the light is flexible but stiff enough to keep its position.The light itself gives off a cool daylight color. The light is very bright and makes colors pop. For those wondering, this light is 12 watts total.Overall, excellent buy and would recommend to any planted tank enthusiast.

After going through several LED lights in the past couple of years, this one is the best. It's really bright and the LED's are lasting forever unlike the cheaper lights I got in the past. The others would start flashing after a while and then completely stop working. Don't waste money on cheaper lights, spend a little more and get this one that will last.

i love the light but i adjusted it and it cracked my 5 gallon

Love it
I love this light, I think it's the best one I have on any of my aquariums so far. It's very bright and I wish I could slowly order it for my others, but this aquarium is the only one set up for inserting a light in the middle.
