Great alternative to the original Canon adapter
I bought this adapter simply because the original Canon adapter is out of stock from all the places (no idea why is that, I searched over 2 months for the original Canon adapter without success). The adapter works great, the quality feels good and I have no complains at all.

Works with ALL my lenses on my Cannon R6
Initially I wanted the official canon adapter, however these were out of stock with no date for restocking so I bought this instead. Although I can’t compare this generic item to the branded Canon adapter, I have to say that so far I have been really impressed with what it does. All my EF lenses (Canon 100-400l mk2, Canon 100 macro, Sigma 150-600, Sigma 150 macro) work perfectly with all functions operating as I would expect. At at least half the price of the Canon adapter, I have no hesitation in recommending this item.

Working well, so far
Bought this during lockdown to use my Canon EF lenses with an R series camera. Canon UK and every camera shop in UK were out of stock. Even now 10/2 they are predicting a mid march date for the Canon equivalent. So took a gamble and bought this. It is well made, was sell packaged and, so far has worked well. If you have a new Canon R seies camera and want to use your EF lenses, give it a go. So far so good!

Brings focus at infinity back
Used to put old Nikon digital wide angle zoom lens without aperture ring onto Sony A7 R2 and works very well even at full uncropped sensor size. Used manual focus and exposure. I can select aperture via the f stop ring on adapter, very useful adapter. The focus ring on lens is corrected so infinity setting is maintained. Supplied in a very useful strong plastic box, has a good strong connection of lens and camera body and fitted tripod mount foot.

Afraid it didn't work
On receipt I attached my lens and found the autofocus didn't work.

Works with some lenses but not others
I bought this with the aim of having a cheap adapter option to put as permanent appendage to a couple of my cheaper lenses. Similar size to the official Canon control ring adapter. The Tripod adapter comes off easily but when fitted is not square with the body, it's about 5-10 degrees off kilter. It fits all my lenses but does not work with all of them.: Canon 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 EF L (mk 1) - AF working OK but it's giving a strange humming sound, as if it is hammering the IS... Canon 50mm F1.8 - Working without issue. Sigma 150mm APO Macro DG HSM - Working without issue Sigma 18-300 F3.5-6.3 DC - AF hunting and never locks, Heavy fringing at 18mm , small fringing at 300mm. So the more expensive the lens the more likely it is to work, which is counter productive for me for not spending the extra 40 quid for the official adapter.... So I will keep it and leave on my Macro lens, but I will have to use an official Canon one to leave on my 18-300 lens or the 100-400.

Not strong enough for larger lenses
I bought this due to non availability of the canon adapter. It was OoK to start with although occasional glitches in connection. Connection problem got progressively worse when using it with the 100-400 mk ii. The connection plates came loose and despite screwing them in, connection was unreliable. I think it is just not up to the job when used with heavier lenses. Have since found a source for the canon adapter. I advise caution using this adapter with heavy lenses.
