Great knife, needs sharper edge
For a "chef" knife, I like the weight and as expected.. it is blade heavy. The curve of the belly makes for a great rocking technique, so if that is your preferred technique this is a great knife to use. It is a beautiful knife! My one complaint is that it did not come in as sharp as I would like. Also, I would not consider this a cheff knife and more of a chef/clever as it has the same thickness as other clevers. It is a soft steel type, so it will need regular sharpening but can take some abuse. Hopefully this helps!

Required professional sharpening - whet stone does not work
Knife arrived extremely dull and in need of professional sharpening. This should be noted in the description - gave as a gift that now requires the person I gave it to to spend money sharpening it in order to use it. Poor service and poor communication.

I think it’s a bate and switch
As one of the other reviewers wrote, the box hinge was broken on arrival. Not a big deal for me as I wanted the knife, not a box. However, the big deal for me is that the knife did not have any of the Thai writing on the blade as shown in the photographs. I believe this to be a copy. I’ll be using it until it falters. Having my family send me a real version from Thailand. Very disappointed

Poor quality
Do NOT waste your money. The price of this knife is not cheap, but the construction is. The wooden box arrived with a broken hinge - poorly constructed method of closing in first place. The knife blade had a knick in it and the knife itself was heavy, cheap, and awkward. Returned.

I returned this knife
Sorry. I had returned this knife. It was too light for me.
