Are there any of the real Scalpmaster brushes from France out there anymore?

The Scalpmaster brushes we have are authentic brushes, they are just no longer made in France. I'm sorry.

Why is this product listed as both a wire and boar bristle hairbrush?

It is definitely a wire brush. It brushed easily through thick and thin hair. The wire is a good scalp stimulator as well.

is this brush good for long thick coarse straight hair? does it rust if you use when hair's wet or washing it?

Yes, very good for thick long hair. And, No, it will not rust when used consistently wet. However, the red soft nylon base, will, in time, deteriorate. The first one of these great brushes I bought lasted for over five years, but by that time, I had to retire it for extreme "wear and tear."
