Hamburg Chesterfield Ottoman Storage Fabric Bed in Linen Light Grey Double and Kingsize (Double 4FT 6)

Absolutely love my new bed, very sturdy, still can't get the gas opening to work so can't open bed unless Matresss is off but I'll figure it out eventually.. Instructions were confusing but other than that really happy

It's a nice bed, but it's not perfect. It was delivered 3 days early with just a text message on the day to say it would be delivered today between 7am and 6pm, not ideal if you're working but not the sellers fault, luckily I was home anyway (lockdown).I got the four boxes upstairs myself, the instructions are pretty much useless but I managed to work it out and put it together in 2-3 hours on my own without too much hassle (don't put the slats on until the end or you'll struggle fixing the gas lift arms). I do have some spare bits and a random piece of wood leftover which I have no idea where they go, but the bed is up and feels totally sturdy without them soo, I guess I don't need them!I do have a very deep mattress about 30cm so it does look a bit strange as the headboard and footboard are lower than I expected, the mattress would have to be very skinny to have it look as it does on the listing photo where the footboard comes higher than the mattress.The handle to lift the bed is totally useless, but there is a strap you can attach so I guess that is for lifting the bed, instructions didn't say!As someone else said, I wasn't really expecting the storage to go right through to the floor, there's no base on the bed just a velcro sheet which is fairly pointless.The bed feels totally sturdy and doesn't creak or wobble, the grey is a nice enough shade and the bed generally feels well made. Oh and I read another review saying double mattress doesn't fit properly, I have a standard UK double mattress 190×135cm and it fits perfectly without any gaps*Edit*Throwing out the boxes I found another instructions sheet that I'd missed so I now know what the spare pieces are for 🙌

Very pleased with the bed looks lovely

Easy to put together with two people. Feels strong enough to hold me and I’m pretty heavy. Overall a good product with a decent price point. If you’re looking for a nice double bed with storage and you don’t have a big budget this is the item for you.

After a while it gets very squeaky and the 1 board has snapped so far

Gorgeous bed!!!!But there are no working instructions to put it together!!!!! The pieces are not labelled and so it was a game of ‘what fits where!’

This bed is lovely. It was straightforward to put together, even with my mobility issues (be prepared to crawl about on the floor a lot). It looks very nice now it’s done and I am, overall, pleased with it. I have reserved one star for two reasons. The first is I didn’t expect it to be so low. (I had a massively high divan). I did measure it before I ordered so expected it to be somewhat lower but I did think the headboard and footboard would be visible above the mattress and pillows but they are not. If I had only one pillow I would be able to see the headboard but even with a new, thinner mattress, I still cannot see the footboard. However, it will look nice reflected in my wardrobe mirrors. The other point is that there is no base as such on the bottom of the bed. There is a Velcro sheet which fixes to the bottom but if you use under the bed for storage that isn’t going to stay put for long. I plan to fix some plywood and castors to the bottom which will raise the height a little and will stop things falling through the base to the floor. Then it will deserve 5 stars.

Excellent product adequate storage space really pleased with it’s appearance.
