10/2/2017 Update - We've been using this deshedding tool on our German Shepherd now for almost two years and it still works great. More than once we've pulled a cat out of our shedding dog. The best part is when we pull the deshedding tool out, our dog gets excited and can't wait for us to use it. This is a great tool so if you're on the fence about buying it, go ahead and get it, you won't be disappointed.I purchased this deshedding tool for a German Shepherd that was making a lot of dust-puppies. I purchased a hair brush / deshedding combo brush from a local pet store and I thought it worked well until I purchased this deshedding tool. I read the great reviews for this product and thought I'd take a chance and I'm really happy I did. The comb tines on this deshedding tool are close together and really pull the loose hair out extremely well. The first time I used it I thought our dog was going to go bald from all the hair it removed. Actually, at first our dog wasn't so sure about me using a different tool but I was pleasantly surprised how quickly our dog's apprehensiveness went away. We now have one happy dog that isn't scratching nearly as bad as she was before. Because this tool works so well we now use it outside because of how well it removes loose hair. If you are on the fence about buying this tool don't be, you won't regret getting this deshedding tool and your dog or cat will be happy too.

I am very impressed with this comb. I have a German Shepherd and she can shed a ton of hair and it's always been a job to comb her. It would take two people. One to hold her head and try to keep her from play biting and me combing her and getting bit.Those days are gone! I'm not quite sure how this comb works because it gets the undercoat and cuts it as well. It's fantastic. It doesn't hurt her and after just a couple of times she has come to love being combed. Now it only takes one person and she rolls over so you can get her other side. The curved shape is nice and the button to push off the hair is very handy. Worth every penny and saves time not having to sweep and vacuum daily.

Just as good as furminator and half the price! I'm in the habit of removing the fur by doing a back stroke up the dog. That is way more efficient then using the button to remove hair, which is located in such a way that it requires both hands as its way to far up for your thump holding the brush to reach. An unnecessary gimmick really. Brush is sturdy and has already survived several falls & throws from a kiddo. Does a great job on my extra hairy 150 lb dog- no easy feat and this handles it great after matts are removed.

(First update) EXCITEDLY, I JUST USED THIS BRUSH ON MY LONG HAIRED GOLDEN RETRIEVER. 10 MINUTES LATER I NOTICE HER HAIR FOLLICLES ARE BLEEDING ALL OVER. THE COMB DID NOT TOUCH HER SKIN BUT APPARENTLY TUGGED SO HARD AT HER HAIR SO HARD SHE IS NOW BLEEDING.(Second update) changing the stars. Honestly if my dog did not get hurt- I would give 5 stars due to the amount of hair that came off...I spoke to a representitive at go pets explaining the situation. They were very responsive and gave me a thorough explanation about how my dog got brush burn from possibly over brushing an area.She has two medium sized patches on her back where it's very irritated and most areas on her skin are pink.Please be careful using this product. Don't be an idiot like me, proud that her dog is cooperating and enjoying being brushed for once and lead to over brushing exposure !I posted two pictures- one with the amount of hair the brush took off and the other of one of the brush burn patches.I will be updating after a few days when it subsides.

I've had lots of pets in my life, but before I adopted my rabbit, I had never had one shed as bad as he did. He had been caught as a stray outside in the winter, and he had a very thick coat, which he started to lose almost right away. The fur was EVERYWHERE! I bought this deshedding tool after trying a regular pet brush and one of those wire ones that don't really work. This deshedder was so effective, I was amazed. The first time we used it, I joked that we could make another bunny out of all the fur that came off. It is gentle, but took tons of the fine fluffy under layer out. We did it again a few days later, and same thing. We used this tool every 3 to 5 days until he was finally done shedding, and it kept the fur in the house to a minimum.

I have tried 2 other combs for deshedding and my dog would run away from me when I brought them into view. With this one, my dog loves to be brushed and will lay down happily for his grooming session. It's great at getting out his undercoat (lab chow mix). Easy to remove the hair from the comb. Heavy duty enough that its working fine after 8 uses. Makes his coat look so much better and He has to feel better without carrying that winter coat around. Much less hair to clean out of the carpet. Couldn't ask for more. Great product, Thank you!

This is an amazing brush! I foster so over the years I have had tons of dogs and cats and grooming is always a big part of being a good animal guardian. I probably have 5 different kinds of brushes for different breeds. This brush is amazing! It works on all 4 of my cats long fur and short and most amazingly it works on my pitty! That short spiky fur that I've never been able to find a brush that works on without hurting the skin this brush actually does it! I've been able to brush my dog and she loves how it feels! I highly recommend this brush for any pet!

Sturdy and works like it should so far. Hasn’t been long enough to say if it worth it yet, but I’ll definitely give an update in the future.

I absolutely love this comb ! Although my dog has a short white coat .....wow can she shed ! I used this on her the first time for 15 mins., I'm sure I had half another dog in the bin !I have since recommended this deshedding tool to everyone I know , two of whom ordered one a week after I got mine ....as they were lucky ?enough to see what came off my dog !A great deshedder , with a well thought out ergonomic , well balanced handle and grip !

This is a brilliant tool for keeping your fur baby looking A1, my only complaint is the wee plastic guard to keep you from getting injured is not secure it keeps coming of.IF it were not for that I would have given it 5 stars.

Takes off a ton of hair. Best to use outside!

Having bought this and the dematting tool as a last resort before taking my scruffy looking golden retriever to the groomers which I sure he would hate , I am so impressed with the results that I have ordered their othe 2 brushes to. As he likes rolling in everything and lying in muddy puddles I have been struggling with knots round his back legs and mane .after just one brushing session and a handful of treats he looks brilliant and almost all the knots are gone. Astonishing I highly recommend these grooming tools.
