All the Rob Zombie you need
These are Robs first two films and in my opinion the best two. The following movies in this series muddy the waters and never answer questions posed by the first movie. The second movie is a continuation of the first with a less fantastical tone. I really like the Blu-ray multipacks and having a double shot of Zombie is a win. I rate House of 1000 Corpses a 6.3/10 now that it is fresh in my mind. Keep in mind the time these came out and curb your expectations.

Some of my favorite movies
While these may not be the best movies ever, they are great to watch if you like Rob Zombie or twisted films in general. I read all the other reviews and I honestly don't care that the DVD versions have more special features or whatever; I wanted the films and I wanted them to look right on my HD TV. If you are not familiar with these movies, make sure to watch House of a 1000 corpses first before the Devil's Rejects or you will ruin it for yourself. These movies are not for people who freak out over nudity scenes, gore, etc. I am overall satisfied with the blu-ray ports and would buy another if I lost my copy. 5 out of 5 stars.

Where on earth is the unrated cut of this movie?
House of 1000 Corpses was famously butchered by the MPAA, and given an R rating. Don't bother with Rob Zombie's audio commentary, he doesn't say a word about it. This is an ok enough movie, although in its current form, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's more of an exercise in style and homage. I saw a number of nods, including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (TCM 2's own Bill Moseley has a starring role), Bloodsucking Freaks, and a vintage De Palma shot! Rob chose a real interesting cast, from people of the past, to future stars. I've always had the DVD edition of House of 1000 Corpses, but recently upgraded to the double feature Blu-ray. I have to say, the details and color look pretty amazing on Blu-ray, but Lionsgate didn't bother to clean up the print! The Devil's Rejects fares much better in terms of cohesiveness, character, and story. Rob Zombie went all out on casting this one, from many faces of exploitation cinema, and beyond (including Priscilla Barnes from Three's Company?!). I must say, the retro soundtrack gives this movie a bizarro/surreal quality, although admittedly Free Bird backing the final showdown was pretty great. I was always under the impression the Rejects died in this, but there is now (14 years later) a third subsequent movie.

The Rob Zombie Classics In One Very Affordable Package
I mean it's the Rob Zombie classics on Blu-Ray in a super affordable two pack. If youre into classic exploration horror of the 70s then this is right up your ally. It arrived a day later than expected but thats okay. I still only had to wait two days. They are both chock full of special features, trailers, all that wonderful extra stuff.

2 Horrific Rob Zombie movies. Classic early 2000s horror
These had to be added to the collection of horror films i have. Both are good in their own seperate ways, but i think the House of 1000 corpses is quite terrifying, mainly due to the fact that it could be somewhat true or at least could happen to people.
