Anyone who's ever tried to add an accessory to their car's wiring loom knows the pain. Finding the right wire, carefully stripping a section without cutting through it, soldering in a new wire, and then wrapping the whole joint in electrical tape... it's a fiddly, time-consuming process. I bought this kit before installing some extra reversing lights on my van, and I'm so glad I did. These T-tap connectors change everything. You just clamp the plastic part over the wire you want to tap into – a small metal blade inside pierces the insulation and makes a solid connection. Then you crimp the included spade connector onto your new wire and plug it straight into the tap. The result is a secure, insulated connection that you can make in about 30 seconds, with just a pair of pliers. This kit comes with a great selection of red, blue, and yellow connectors, which covers the most common wire gauges you'll find in automotive and general low-voltage DIY projects. The connectors themselves feel like decent quality plastic, and the metal spade terminals crimp on nicely and plug in with a satisfying click. The only tiny downside is the plastic storage case they come in isn't the most robust, but the connectors themselves are what matters, and they are excellent. For the price, you can't complain. Verdict: If you do any sort of electrical work on your car, boat, or even just general hobbyist projects, buy a set of these. They will save you an incredible amount of time and frustration. It’s one of those tools you'll wonder how you ever managed without. Highly recommended.

Fantastic piece of kit, used to install a rear dash cam, no cable cutting and joins 2 cables easily, worth the purchase.

Good value

Once again these were to use on a model rail layout to join the dropper and bus wires. They sometimes worked and a few time they didn't. So ended up soldering the droppers directly to the bus. Problem is, you don't know if they have contact until you test the system. Lugs not too good for keeping wires in.

I bought my first car back in august last year, and before I passed my test I knew I wouldn't be able to put up with the built in CD player, these tap connectors are a life saver for tapping into circuits like the reverse light, since I fitted a reverse camera with an android head unit, I've also used these to tap into the 12v of my cigarette lighter to power other accessories as well. Solid purchase, sometimes the tap connectors can be difficult to crimp in hard to reach places, but a pair of pliers and you're unstoppable.

Die Stromdiebe ;-) , ja gut um im WoMo an Strom zu kommen, ohne neue Leitungen legen zu müssen. Man weiß ja gar nicht genau wo man suchen und legen soll.... Einfach gute Lösung !! Aber bitte immer die neue Stromquelle mit einer Sicherung versehen !!!! Gefällt gut, gute Lösung für die Anschlussstelle ! gefällt ! und sollte sicher sein. Für uns genau richtige Lösung. LG

This is utter crap. Connections are very flimsy.

Bastante bien , aveces falta masa y esto es más rápido,es lo mismo que hacer un empalme pero más seguro y rápido,no tengo que pelar el cable , poner el otro meterle estaño . También me ha ido bien para hacer una instalación de remolque , que me venían los otros pero este son iguales pero más pequeños y más fáciles
