Love the fit and style of this life jacket! I am a 120 lb 5’4” woman and the XS/S fits perfectly. As the jacket states, it’s a type 3 floatation device which is best helpful if you are conscious or floating on your back. If you are unconscious and face down in water with this you will drown. I do not white water raft so this jacket is perfect for my level of activity. I mainly got this to follow local laws where kayaking even in calm water requires the wear of protective equipment. It’s very comfortable and easy to move in while kayaking and makes swimming out in lakes and rivers even more fun. I can just lay back and float with no effort. I also love the built in whistle and the mesh lower back patch for air flow. There are a few different adjustable straps to get the fit just right. It doesn’t take long at all for it to dry out after completely soaked, although it does get saturated it only takes a few minutes for the water to drip out. I have worn this thing for hours at a time, it’s so comfortable! I’ve transported it to camping trips strapped to the top of my car, it’s gotten muddy, been sprayed with bug spray, used on many outings and still looks brand new!

This vest is fantastic. My husband and I use them for kayaking and paddle boarding. It is so comfortable, you almost forget you are wearing it. It has lots of straps so you can adjust the fit. It has mesh in the back and sides, which keeps you cool, and it doesn't interfere with a standard kayak seat. The vest doesn't impede movement, and your arms are free to move the oars without rubbing or chafing. The zipper is secure, easy to use, and doesn't come loose. There is one storage pocket (not waterproof) in the front with a whistle inside. The sizing recommendations from other users are accurate. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 135 lbs, and the adult x-small-small was perfect. My husband is 5'9" and weighs 150, and the adult medium-large was the right size for him. There is lots of room for adjustments with this vest, so chest size should also be considered. My husband and I both have a 38" chest size, but I am more petite than him so the smaller one fit me much better. We wore ours for several hours and they were extremely comfortable. They have color options, and reflective material for low light visibility if needed. I highly recommend!!

We have three of these. They are very comfortable for paddle boarding and kayaking. I am short and sometimes the back of my seat rubs on the lifejacket but nothing uncomfortable. We haven’t gone overboard yet to test the bouyancy but they seem to be quite sturdy. The sizing seems to be right. I didn’t have to size up. I wear medium clothes and large t shirts for oversize and the xsmall/small fits with room to spare (even with a larger bust).

PFD is as advertised. For reference, I'm generally a Small, sometimes Medium. 5'4", approx. 155lbs, 34B. I got a XS/S. Had to tighten it almost all the way since I prefer a close fit but it fit well. I'd say my range of motion is above average. A bit annoying on the sides since it sticks out while paddleboarding and is still a bit bulky but this fits WAY better than most jackets. I like that it came with an informational booklet on different pfd's, that was pretty neat to read. CG approved and an attached emergency whistle in the front pocket. That was a nice addition that I didn't notice it'd come with since the CG requires SUPers to have a vest and whistle. Whistle is definitely on the cheaper end, but it works okay. And I don't usually go far out of the inlets or bay area so my whistle doesn't need a super long range haha!

This life jacket is literally the best one I've ever used! So many great things about it, it's hard to keep this short. I love the colors and the reflective details. The arm hole openings are awesome. There's nothing tight or uncomfortable about them, regardless of your motion (paddling, etc.). The way this life jacket fits makes you forget you are even wearing one. However, it works great by keeping you afloat when in the water. All the straps are adjustable to the jacket can fit for years and through various sizes. I'm female, 5'7" ~140 and I got a size small. Fits perfectly! I just cannot recommend this life jacket enough. I've worn so many different ones over the years from others boats and will now be bringing my own with me every time!

Got these life vests for stand up paddle boarding. They are easy to put on and adjustable. Also very comfortable and I barely noticed that I had it on. Does not restrict or interfere with arm movements while paddling. Also comes with an attached whistle which is a plus. I’m 5”6’ and weigh about 140 lbs and size medium fit well.

Great vest. I ordered a small. I am 5'4 and weigh 120. This was plenty big. There are shoulder and side straps that allow you to synch. The whistle is stored in a front pocket but was not attached to the string inside. The picture shows it attached on the front, but it doesn't stay put, so make sure you tie it to the string. I like the reflective strips. I would prefer the entire vest to be a bright color from a safety perspective. There are no pockets to store snacks. I only saw one vest on Amazon that fit that need (snack pocket and color) but size was limited and extra shipping was required and it was $30+ more. This is worth the money.

These are great life jackets for kayaking. Doesn’t interfere with the seat back and force you forward. Very easy to adjust. Comes with an emergency whistle as well. Good idea.

Ammended: I received and just printed a return label. Though, in the end because it was shipped, I discovered this PFD is indeed TC Approved, ultimately, I'm pleased with the return and the subsequent purchase. It just wasn't a very straight line and there were mixed messages about TC specs. After examining this PFD, there is a PFD we like better - mostly because of the large pocket. This PFD pocket would be OK for keys but won't fit a phone. I can now confirm the aqua PFD IS TC approved, but there was confusion as to whether this was Transport Canada approved when i purchased it. So many mentioned that this and other Onyx PFD's were Transport Canada approved, but then in the Q&A's there would be posts saying they weren't. In Canada, you can be fined for not wearing a TC approved vest on the water. After I ordered this vest, then found another (linked above) that was DEFINITELY CT approved because you could see it on the label on the back panel of the vest in the photos, I tried to cancel this order.

The front of the PFD is quite thick but definitely is a better cut and style than traditional PFS’s for paddle boarding and kayaking. While floating in the water it does ride up a lot. But over all for the use of paddling its fabulous
