Power Adapter, 24V Doorbell Transformer Power Supply, Thermostat Adapter with 23ft Cable Compatible with Smart Wifi Thermostat

I live very close to the street with a lot of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and was having to charge my Ring Doorbell 2 at least once a month from all the notifications and activity it picked up no matter the sensitivity settings. Didn’t take me long to decide I wanted it hardwired instead of relying on the battery. I don’t have existing wiring for a doorbell and an electrician wanted over $400 to run new wiring. Can’t afford that. Bought this power adapter and a waterproof cover for the outlet in the front of my house (TayMac MM510C, also available on Amazon, and can be zip-tied or padlocked shut) and just tucked the excess cable behind my siding/door frame. Installed within minutes and it powers and charges my Ring Doorbell 2 battery, which is now always at 100%. Really like the fact that I can now use Live View as much as I want without having to worry about charging the battery.

I have a Ring Doorbell2 and was having to change the battery quite frequently. I decided that perhaps I should hard wire my doorbell. When researching this I came across this power adaptor. It was much easier that what I would have had to do to hard wire this. The hardest task was running the wire. I plugged this in and now my doorbell works great and I do not have to change the battery. Totally worth the money and simple to install.

I am looking for a power adapter for my ring doorbell for a long time. Finally, i bought it. This is exactly what I need. Package contains user manual, although it can not help me a lot. I found a video on YouTube about how to use. It did work for me. I am glad that the power adapter works fine so far. It prevents you from taking off your doorbell and charging it, so I am satisfied with this product at present. I will update it later if any other issue occurs

Arrived on time. Plugged it in and connected the 2 wires to 2 spare wires on my doorbell system and connected the other ends of the wires to the terminals on my Ring Video Doorbell back plate and slid on the Ring and tightened the screws.I knew not to expect any immediate change in Battery Status in the Ring App. Within 10 hours the Battery Status went to "hardwired" and "Very Good". It's a pleasure not having to recharge the battery every few weeks! I love this adapter!

We decided to install Ring video pro doorbells on 2 doors that had existing doorbells. These Ring model require wired power (battery powered Ring doorbells require frequent battery charging /replacement). As it turns out, the existing doorbells were wireless...I decided to get 2 of this transformer to power the doorbells since there were outlets nearby.Work great!

Works as described. Sometimes registers in the ring App as a solar power source. Provides continuous low level charging.

I like that it keeps it working without changing the battery constantly. I don't like that it looks like battery is discharging little by little. About 1% per month.

Very easy to install. I just ran the wire under the siding, through the top corner of the first floor window (Make sure it closes) and plunged it in to a surge protector. Easy Peasy!
