Very helpful and easy to read
"47"s primary advantage is its size: a Kindle is MUCH smaller than the couple-hundred-page manual Canon had me download and print. The only difficulty I had was switching pages between the numbered camera illustrations and the text explaining the numbers (switching from text to the called-out illustration is just a tap, but getting back to the pertinent text on a Kindle can be tricky). So, since the camera was at hand anyway, I just photographed and printed the called-out illustrations. The flash must be disabled; turn the Mode switch one click clockwise from the green point (as described in the next chapter). Curiously, the Kindle white background is tan printed out... Great writer, friendly tone, comprehensive.
My camera didn’t come with a book. This is a very comprehensive book for beginner or seasoned photographer.

It was worth the price.
I'm glad books like this exist. They help beginners a lot and also shows a few things that someone with a little more experience has.

Good coverage of primary functions
Liked the segmenting of capabilities and helpful suggestions. But some of the explanations were obscure.
