So much better than an electronic stud finder. Simple concept - strong magnet sticks to the drywall screws...very well in fact. It only took me about 5 seconds to find a stud vs others I tried that were hit and miss. Purchased this one to help our son find a stud to mount his TV to the wall. Told him to keep it and got another for myself. I had one of the old school battery operated ones that you slide across the wall and the little led lit up when it detected a stud. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. This is definitely a more accurate way to do it. I know - it doesn't work on some wall surfaces, but most homes built around us in the last 30 years have drywall...and we aren't planning on moving into a house without drywall anytime soon, so worth the money.

I have not found a good inexpensive stud finder until now. This works great. It finds the screw or nail that is hidden in the wall. I will never work without it again.

So simple, so effective. I have a house with plaster and laths instead of drywall. This apparently means normal stud finders won't work as well or even not at all. But why need a fancy device with lights and a screen when a good ol' strong magnet does the trick. It's compact, easy to use, and accomplishes exactly what a stud finder 4 times the price does, at least for finding studs. Great value, great tool. The only drawback is you can't point it at yourself and make it beep. What will dads do.

This little stud finder works fantastic to find drywall srews to show you the styd line. Needs no batteries that will die when you most need your tool. Worked great by just gently gliding on the wall and it just sticks on any metal screw or object behind the sheetrock.

Great idea, works well. Much easier to find studs than other styles.

The product works. But be careful how you remove it. The glue holding it together failed and the plastic top and bottom separated exposing the magnets. They are not glued in. The magnets literally jumped out and pinched one of my fingers and I couldn't get them apart because they are really, really strong.

I initially had in mind to make a floating desk, its all over tiktok and i really wanted to try it out, but this thing doesnt detect the screws in my wall, i dont think its strong enough and i have no idea how it works perfectly for others.
