## Description

Waxed paper for your microwave and baking needs!

Review: It's exactly what wax paper is supposed to be! - Once upon a time, all wax paper was pretty much like this... sturdy, good weight, easy to tear off. Unfortunately, Reynolds, the company that makes excellent aluminum foil, really sucks at making wax paper. Sure, it's way cheaper to buy than Waxtex... but in the end is it really less expensive? I can't begin to count the number of times I've had to throw away what I had just torn off the roll of Reynolds Cut-Rite wax paper. It's flimsy and yet it's almost impossible to get a decent clean and even tear. In the end, I may have tossed as much as I used. I'm sticking with Waxtex.
Review: Good product. - While this is more expensive than most, it is worth the extra cost. Use while making caramels and holds up well, is sturdier than most.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can you see through this wax papre ?**
A: Just a little bit, it's kind of blurry. However, if your intention is to trace, it does work.

**Q: Is this "wet" or "dry" waxed paper? Looking for the type that will hold up to wet foods.**
A: It's shiny waxed paper, might be ok for a little while on wet foods

**Q: Who owns this brand?**
A: MENOMINEE PAPER COMPANY, INC. owns the Waxtex trademark. They just had a huge fire at a mill in Menominee MI this past week where the governor declared a county wide state of emergency. I cannot easily discover what they use as their wax coating.

**Q: Is this wax paper as good as the sheets that come with cold cuts from a deli? I need wax paper that will resist the moisture & not get soggy like that**
A: No. Waxtex is ordinary rolled waxed paper that will go soggy if wrapping food. Look for “Kabnet-Wax” (blue box of 500) or “Deli Sheets”. On Amazon. And at Sam’s. These are SO much better for covering food and individual sheets are easier to deal with than the constant coiling rolled paper. I also use Kabnet-Wax sheets to cover reheating food in the microwave - no splatters.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard to find and indispensable
*by C***A on February 5, 2021*

Nothing else will do! I use little wax squares under the triangle points when quilting. The wax paper removes easily with no trace of it in the stitching. Who knew! This is sometimes hard to find to in stores. Also used to protect our Blackstone from dirt and moisture.
