I thought this file was wider than what it is. It shaves off metal and that is what I wanted. I gave it a 4 star until I really put it through the test. I will write back a year from now that will give me enough time as I don't use a file everyday. I am a hobbyist so I do need a good sharp file.

I like that it works well and has a handle on it and I use it to sharpen my kitchen knives I'm extremely satisfied with this file.

You have to really work to get anything sharp.

Just used this to file down a metal door that was sticking at my office. Worked like a charm in 5 minutes or less! I watched a quick youtube on filing techniques which helped as well.
