QuickBooks 2015 All-in-One For Dummies 1st Edition

Gives a great overview of all aspects of QuickBooks 2015 since QB seemed to have decided to save money by no longer producing a manual to their product. Don't expect this book to get into the finer details like how to create sub accounts under line items for a budget or how to remove an Accounts Receivable transaction. (But it does give a great description of how to create a budget in three different approaches) I found this book more knowledge based than I did transactional as to how to use the program. However, I suppose that is the whole purpose of the "For Dummies" theme as to not get too technical.

While this book was very helpful, it just didn't go far enough. I was looking for a book that would link my knowledge of accounting practices with how to perform them in QuickBooks 2015, and while the book touches on this, it did not go into the detail I was looking for. I will say that this book would be quite helpful for someone who has very little knowledge of accounting practices, because it does explain the "why" of the things you do in QuickBooks. My complaint is that it does not link the why to the how of accounting and QuickBooks.

We returned it, but not because it was a bad book. Just that it was a bit too basic for advanced users. Seller was awesome, prompt delivery as well as taking it back. If you are new to QuickBooks; this is a great place to start... And this is a great seller to trade with.Explaining my rating. It was just OK for my personal set of expectations. Otherwise a quality book; well put together; and will get one started. If I were a total 'noob'; it would be a five star...

It's a pretty good book. But I found it simplified certain aspects too much for a beginner. For dummies, should not worry about 8 in 1, but on being easy to do what you need in 1.Now, I'm watching youtube videos to make up for missing info.

What a lifesaver this book has been! I have more highlights and bookmarks in it than any other office book I own! Many of the books that I purchased talked in accountant lingo and weren't any help at all but this book is easy to understand, gives step by step help, and is jam packed with tips on how to maneuver through quickbooks. I don't know how I managed before buying this!

LOVE! LOVE!QuickBooks for a beginner is daunting but after reading this I felt so much more confident going into the process. Everything is listed in the order you will likely use it. Each chapter is clear and precise. Everything you will need to know going into the process, new or moderate, is available to you. And it is so easy to find one particular topic you are looking for.

In the past 12 months I have needed to learn 4 different software packages that were new to me. This book starts from the beginning and is very thorough. And even though it was written for dummies, it doesn't make you feel like one! Of the 4 new software packages I have learned, QuickBooks is the one I understand the most, thanks to this book.

There are quite a few things this book doesn't cover. A glaring example is how to enter customer charges so that statements can be sent to them. How about when to use the General Journal? Needed guidance for newcomers like me. I ended up using Google for much of what I needed to do. I wouldn't recommend this book to newcomers.

Not easy to find your way around this book, particularly if one is NOT accountancy trained.As usual I have learned more by actually using and experimenting with the programme itself.The preparation of Reports is Vital for me, and this book was of no help. It seems the input affect the report content, and I had to re cast the input 3 times before the reports worked to my satisfaction.I tried to convert from Quicken 2002 - proved very difficult - unworkable. So I set up from start again which was more certain of a reasonable outcome.

Written in a horribly American style. I want clear, concise and relevant information when I read a text book so I found his "best mate" style of writing extremely irritating. It's also written for the American version of Quickbooks which is not exactly the same as the UK version.
