This is NOT a cheap product as a couple of reviewers claimed. It's a good, heavy gauge tubing and there's nothing wrong with the assembly. The plunger does require some strength to push and retract but that's because the seal is good so, the reviewers complaining about the stiff plunger are actually complaining about a side effect of the high quality. One reviewer complained about the bad threads and the top 'popping off.' That was the fault of that reviewer who managed to cross-thread the cap when he/she was screwing it on; it was NOT the fault of the threads. When the assembly is received the plunger needs to be removed so the whole thing can be cleaned and a little mineral oil or some other oil can be applied to the O-ring. Use care when threading the cap back into place. The threads are fine and very easy to cross-thread. It took me about three or four minutes and some patience to get the threads lined-up properly. This is a quality item that performed perfectly and was well worth the very reasonable cost.

Works great just like the ones they used to use at the doctor for clogged ears. Use 50% peroxide/water and shoot 2-6 syringe fulls in each ear until the obstruction and wax build up has broken up. Never had a doctor use this to suction out wax as it implies on the sheet that came with it, these are used to irrigate and flush out wax obstruction via moderate water pressure. The inside piston oring was lubed with some kind of unidentified oil which I have to believe is safe but I took it apart and washed it, then applied a thin layer of vegetable oil on the o ring, worked great.

It's tough to find O-ring syringes this large. This product is good quality and functions as needed. The first unit arrived damaged (I think during shipping), but there were no issues with an exchange. It appears to be a stainless tube and plunger, with a brass closure at the nozzle end of the Syringe. The nozzles themselves appear to be stainless.

This really is much bigger than it appears in the photos. It is marketed as a veterinary instrument after all, so those of us using it to flush human ears should take note. There are smaller options available.Need to rinse and dry it as best as possible after use. I replaced a smaller one that was about 3 years old, which had corroded a bit on the plunger end. That would obviously be dangerous to use. For the relatively low price and safety - replace it regularly, or use a plastic equivalent.

Excellent product. High quality syringe. I thought the blue guard (looks purple in the picture) would be plastic, but it's actually painted metal. After reading reviews about other syringes that people said were cheap quality, I wanted to find a syringe that was high-grade construction and sturdy so it'll last for years to come. This syringe met my needs. I'm very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this product.

Falls apart when using. This thing is made with no pride in manufacturing. It has very poorly machined threads. When using the plunger the top pops off. So much fun to cleanup afterwards! The sudden change in pressure due to the top popping off during use may be harmful. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

This syringe is so hard to pump. I had to ask my adult son to push and pull it. I am so disappointed with this product.

My family members and I typically visit the doctor’s office to have our ears flushed from time to time. This saves a trip. The syringe is identical to the one used at the doctor. I purchased the small cup as well to hold under to ear. It works perfect!
