I am a huge fan of all of Ms. Chamberlain's books. Though this book is short but it covers a lot of information. The author does a fabulous job of being direct, clear, and on point with her information and writing. The Craft is something that you can never learn in one book. Even though her books are centered around Wicca, the information is useful and insightful to all areas of The Craft and Witches. The book description is exactly what the book is. I myself have a library of several different topics. I started with this author and purchase every book as they come out. I suggest taking notes on things that peak your interest so that you can do further research. I always use her books as a jumping off point to introduce myself to new areas and help guide me to my next area of study.If my review helped you, please click the helpful button. Love this! It’s such an easy read and is not overly detailed. I’m a beginner and other books or websites seem to overwhelm me with info, but this book is a perfect guide. Lisa, if you’re reading this, I have a suggestion. After I read this I went back through and made bullet points of the different steps to take when starting to practice my spells. It would be awesome if, right before the spells, there was a “recap” with a “list” of the general steps to take when casting. This book is the perfect guide and perfect size to keep in my sanctuary. Thank you!

This is a great book, she gives just enough detail that it’s not overwhelming.•She explains candle types and which are best for certain spells.•She covers how you can use candles to send your message/spells/ request to the spirit world.•Gives tips on cleansing your items*Gives tips on how to dress your candles* recipe on making your own oil.*has a chart on days of week, moon, color, herbs and their correspondence.• gives spells and covers when it’s best to do them ( day, moon phase, herbs and which color candle )I have yet to try any of these spells but they seem simple. Imo this book would benefit everyone. It’s good to learn new things or take inspiration from others. I highly recommend this book, especially for those who are starting.

Its a good book to have as part of your wiccan library, but for the most part I was just as disappointed with this one as i was with the herbal one written by this author. The book includes 14 different colors of candles, and if you use candle magic as part if your craft you know there's more colors than just red, blue and yellow. Granted not a whole lot more but I feel like the different meanings of candles not mentioned in the book could have at least been talked about so you knew where to begin. It's not a bad book however. I don't consider myself a "baby or a veteran" but I learned something new from this book, so maybe it is worth having. If it's something you really want I say get it, it's not a bad book to have unlike the authors herbal magic book. 😒

Lisa Chamberlain's book regarding candle magic is another in her books for beginners and those seeking more knowledge in the Wiccan craft. This book is nicely written, with easy to follow directions, a brief history, and in depth knowledge. Lisa shares assorted spells, choosing candles, how timing is important, and the most important - intention, intention, intention. For those just starting out, she shares the best days of the week for spells, the effect of colors, as well as information about herbs and essential oils. This was a great book, the information is easy to understand and gives a thorough explanation from start to finish. I recommend this book.

Any book written by Lisa Chamberlain is great. This one, as all her others, are very well explained, excellent for beginners in magick and seasoned brushing up. She always offers a free Kindle gift for the book purchase too. She also includes spells pertaining to her subject matter. Gee, I think I'm impressed!

Lisa Chamberlain's books on magic are very well written. There is a lot of information on how to construct the spells and even if there are specific times to make the spell happen. Overall I would suggest these books to people looking for a great place to start with candle magic.

An excellent reference and instructional book for beginners. The author covers basic magickal theory and ethics as well as encouraging the reader to listen to his/her own inner voice. A favorite section for me was "Our Connection with Fire." In this chapter Ms. Chamberlain uses myth and history to explain the origins of humanities fascination with fire and then goes on to connect fire, and candles, to various religions especially Wicca. She then goes on to discuss the fundamental uses for candles in Wiccan ritual, spellwork, and everyday life. Her chapter on fire magick and the theory behind it is thorough but not tedious or overly complicated. Finally, the spells included are simple and economical--perfect for the beginner, or a more advanced practitioner how happens to be short on time.My only real complaint is for the Kindle edition. The correspondence tables are so small they are unreadable. If you're going to buy this book and want those tables, I recommend buying the paperback version.

Haven't read it yet (it's for Xmas, as controversial as that sounds), but I love Lisa's books. They're practical, down to earth, & explain things very well for a learner of the 'Craft'. Having bought & read Lisa's 'Wicca For Beginners', I found her style easy to read, informative, & with a common-sense appeal. This is one of seven of her books I have bought for the holidays (& for my wife to wrap up for a Xmas present, I like presents I've chosen for myself) & I'm sure that eventually I'll end up with a full set of all her books.

Ideal introduction. Though I have practiced candle magic for decades I was looking for a potted introduction to Wicca Candle Magic. Simple and easy to read with some starter spells to get people going. I particularly like the correspondence tables for quick reference and also the guidance throughout to find your own way and go with your heart if other sources have different suggestions in other words do what feels right. It's exactly what it claims to be, the perfect, simple beginners guide to the topic xxx

This is a great series for new Witches/Wiccans. It’s concise and informative. Ideal for starting your journey.

I have collected most of Lisa Chamberlain’s books for beginner & upwards in Wicca. She writes simply but comprehensible about the subject. Plus the spells inside use normal ingredients not specialised ones. They are simple to read but informative. I usually preorder new ones as they come out.

A wonderful book, easy to read and understand for someone dipping their toe in Wicca waters.
