100% great blade for my small poodle mix
Love this blade. I just started grooming my dogs because I was spending wayyyy too much money at the groomer, so I’m not a professional, but I can say, this blade is great. It’s perfect for a summer cut on our Maltipoo. His hair takes on more of the poodle characteristics in that it mattes easily with has tight curls. I started out with the 3F (which I love for our goldendoodle) but that didn’t get it quite short enough so I opted with the 5F for the Maltipoo. It keeps his hair long enough that you can’t see pink skin but short enough that is perfect for summer. The F keeps his hair even and fluffy. I’ve read that the F series are more of a finishing blade but this one cuts through the poodle hair just fine on the first go if you’ve bathed and brushed them first. Would 100% reccommend.

Make sure that you have adequate rpm to use this blade
Great quality I found that my Oster 76 wasn’t performing optimally. Cleaned throughly The speed wasn’t high enough on my clipper where the blade would cut just fine and then it would stop trimming...really maddening when clipping a doodle.

Good blade for fine haired dog's summer cut.
Unlike the Master Grooming Tools 7 blade, I ordered, this worked fine on my Oster Golden A5. It is just the right depth for keeping shedding under control on our small dog without leaving her looking bald. Its a bit short the first day but leaves a nice natural looking smooth finish. Her hair isn't as thick as our big dog so even with the longer hair cut, a close look shows she's got 'appaloosa' skin which doesn't match her white & orange fur. For the first few days, she looks a bit odd. So far she hasn't gotten sunburned. This has really cut down on the fur flurries that collected wherever she spent time. At first I tried an Oster 7 blade but it was just too short for her fine hair, and a 1/2" comb was too long.

Good clipper for body clip
I like this or the corresponding 7F for horse body clip. With this brand I can do an entire clean horse in one go without overheating or wearing it the blade causing lines. I've been doing this for years and the horse is ready to go right away instead of needing a couple of weeks to grow out like when you use a 10. Recommend this brand.
