Perfect fit for my 2000 25hp merc

Fuel fittings Insure Top Engine Performance (Don’t Underestimate Importance)
Pay close attention to the make and model of your 6 HP / XX HP outboard before you purchase this fitting. It was almost impossible to determine the exact mate for the male fuel fitting on the engine just by looking at it. It will leak if not correct. My recommendation is to order fittings has a matched pair. Performing well in salt water service.

Is OEM so fit perfectly. The original was getting loose and the OEM was only a few dollars more than aftermarket.

Spend the little extra to avoid leaks
Have a mercury 60 Bigfoot. Tried multiple after market plugs. They all would not lock in properly causing leaks and the motor to die. It is worth the little extra to get the OEM on this one.

Why build your own fuel line from scratch ?
Do it Right or Do it Over New connectors are clean inside and easy to replace when you assemble your own fuel source rather than just buy a grey one in a plastic bag that has a limited lifetime and no real warranty the sun cooks the cheapo grey ones so they crumble one of those grey hose was enough for me to say never again I can and will make my own better than the store bought crab

Genuine Mercury WORKS
After fussing with a few off brand fuel connectors that didn't work or leaked, I decided to move forward with the genuine Mercury product. Fits like a glove and no more leaks. For those that are unaware, Mercury owns Quicksilver so this is in essence an OEM product and it performs as such.

This was used on a 2006 Mercury 15 horse outboard. Snapped in tightly, seals up perfectly.
