A favourite bedtime read
My six year old loves these books, although she sometimes queries the pictures as kids always take the pictures literally (abstract images don't work so well in children's stories, I find). She also struggles to understand what certain phrases/ words mean, which I think could do with more explanation i.e. Josephine Baker's dance moves (which I admit I could just Google, but when it's bedtime and I just want to get on with reading the story can be a bit painful). Either way, she still finds the subject matter engaging and interesting, which is kind of the point - so a good purchase in summary.

Bought as a gift for niece. Nice little book set

Damaged
Interesting and nice illustrations. Unfortunately they are damaged and now unsuitable for gifting to my granddaughter for her birthday.
