These two-piece style connectors make things easier by making it a job of two halves; firstly, the individual conductors (arranged by colour in the usual manner and according to your desired wiring plan such as 568A/B) are slotted into the loading bar then trimmed flush. Then, the whole arrangement is pushed into the main connector body before being crimped using a standard RJ45 crimp tool - no special tool is required. Use with regular strain reliefs/boots. Fitting instructions: 1. Strip jacket around two inches from the end of the cable 2. Untwist each pair - usually there are four pairs in standard network cable 3. Arrange in preferred colour order - usually orangewhite/orange/greenwhite/blue/bluewhite/green/brownwhite/brown 4. Snip off 1/4 inch from end of conductors to create a straight edge 5. Fit the loading bar with grooves facing upward, by sliding bar onto the conductors, pushing down all the way to cable jacket 6. Snip off protruding wire flush from leading edge of loading bar, as close as possible 7. Push the whole fitment into the main body of the connector with contacts facing up to match grooves in load bar, as far as possible 8. My tips on it are to know the order of the wires and have them arranged with no twists, trim them down stepped from one side to the other slightly so you can insert the highest and the next one easier as it is slightly shorter than the one you have just inserted and so on. Check, check and triple check before trimming (reasonable amount of excess length outer sheath stripped to start with) and insert into the outer part of the connector. For me I did the brown wire the longest on the left with the lip at the back (definitely understand which way round they go in before inserting the first wire). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product ok but not suitable for Cat 6A *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 October 2025* The quality of the product appears good but it definitely does not work for 'all' Category 6 cable.
