Effective treatment that works quickly
I always get nervous using medications because some can be harsh on fish and beneficial bacteria but I had no issues using this. Everyone in the tank handles it well and the sick fish bounce back faster than you would expect. I 1000% recommend it to other fish keepers who want something reliable that actually works. I like to keep this and Kanaplex ready to go so I’m prepared for any sudden issues.

Discolors water but cleared up my fin rot!
This is the only product so far that has helped to clear up the fin rot in my community tropical fish tank. I tried several other antibiotics and antifungals and my water parameters were all perfectly fine and could not get it to go away. The medication is doxycycline which is a broad spectrum antibiotic so you have a good chance of it working against whatever bacterial agent is causing disease in your tank. I have noticed the fins of my fish already growing back and looking significantly better. The things I did not like about this product is that it severely discolors the water to the point where it looked like red wine by the last day of treatment and you can barely see through it. It said on the box that it would cause a slight discoloration of the water but I did not expect it to be so extreme. I also needed to use a net to scoop off the foam because it was very thick and frothy (think like foam on a latte but grosser and purple) several times a day. I just did my final water change and put in some activated carbon to hopefully remove the color. My tank is a 60 gallon so it also takes a lot of this product to complete the dosing (it's one packet per gallon and you treat a total of 4 times) so it's a bit pricey but I'd still say it's worth it. Otherwise, I've been battling with this fin rot for about a month now and have finally gotten it under control so I'd consider that a success even if it was kinda gross looking and a pain in the butt.

Doxycycline for aquarium bacterial outbreaks
Had some cloudy water and bacterial infection, losing some fish, after relocating some plants and substrate, not clearing with deep water changes. This cleared things up in several days adding to the tank. I also mixed a small amount directly into some frozen shrimp food to feed directly to some funky/sick fish and they recovered quickly. It can create some alarming looking brownish foam in your tank but wasn't detrimental

Works! Price! Saved my red eyed tetras
Didn’t think the stuff was doing anything until after two weeks. My red eyed Tetris were finally healthy, but it took two weeks for the stuff to kick in and work. It got rid of their fuzzies on their eyes in their mouth and now they’re healthy. The price was awesome.

This really worked out
I added a new ranchu goldfish to my tank without quarantine, all fish got infected. This really worked for my fish. After using 4 doses, all of them were cured.

Killed my fish
One of my fish has fin rod. Treated the tank according to the instruction. On the last day of treatment, I made a 25% water change. The next morning, water turned to a red tea color, all of my fish were resting lifelessly at the bottom of the tank. I did another water change, too late, one of my 6 inch imported healthy discus died, 2 other are very weak and lifeless, 3 are very weak. There are other reviews with similar results. Stay away from this product unless you want to kill your fish. I gave it a one star, zero star is not an option.
