Excellent Mixer
First off, this is not a KitchenAid replacement. I say that because what I really wanted was a Mix Master from KitchenAid, but I didn't want to spend the money nor did I think I really needed a heavy-duty mixer. With that said, I chose this stand mixer based on reviews. I have used it five times since I bought it a month ago. I love it. Pros: It does the job. It is lightweight, which means it is easy for me to lift out of the cabinet below the counter. It sticks like the "dickens" but that just keeps it from moving around. It mixes well, and I have only used the 1-2 settings. It is very easy to clean. Cons: I cannot think of any. Not as verstatile as the bigger and more famous one, but then I wasn't going to shell out $500 for a mixer to use occasionally. I am a casual baker, that is all. I have made three batches of cookies and two different quick breads. I made muffins the other day, and while I didn't need to use the mixer to mix the batter, I did anyway. I love the ease of this mixer, the size, and the three attachments (whipping, dough, and general beating) are perfect for my needs. I would highly recommend this mixer for anyone looking for a small stand mixer that can handle every day baking needs.

Wonderful tool for all of my baking needs
Easy to use ad clean mixer takes care of all my baking needs. Great product for the price. I don't keep it on my counter but if I did, I know it would look great. The materials used are of high quality.

Compact, light, and goodlooking! Hope it delivers!
Update May 17th 2018: First time ever made pizza dough on this on Speed 1 with hook. 2 cups bread flour to 2/3rds cup warm water. and 1.3 tbsp oil. Kneaded it 10 mins as per instructions with a fistful or 2 of flour thrown in so not to get sticky. Had to shut off and scrape 2 to 3 times. BUT, the motor didn't strain, there was some head shaking but not seriously so, and no heat production. Although there was some plastic grating noise and I assume it's from the plastic gears inside. This small mixer can be used for dough if only as instructed and shut off before motor gets hot or strained. I wouldn't do it more than 10-15 mins max without shutting even on low. For keeping this for a longer time and not run it to the ground as what happened to a customer here in 6 months of usage. This is also good for absolute beginners, teenagers etec who are willing to use it as a learning tool and graduate pretty soon to something higher. Definitely not meant for years and years of usage. Of course if you use it only a few times a year, it can last you years and years. I was planning to return it and get something else but since I did try it out, (you have to use it to try it) I can't return. I don't want to now and think that this will be good enough to continue with. Most everything had huge bowls and I find the 4 qt on this large enough. Update: I tried today with the bread hook and the whisk. Whisk first for whipping yeast and water at 4. Then bread hook after adding oil and wet ingredients flour and dry ingredients together, following a recipe by a customer on the Bosch Compact site (never baked bread before). Used at speed 2 as the mixture was thin like thick cake batter and not thick like pizza dough. Seemed to work fine at speed no problems. But had to scrape down the sides to centralise everything. That one will have to do on this. Do not know other expensive ones as this is my first stand mixer. That's not a problem either. One think I liked was that it has a cover for the motor parts, which some of the others don't have at this price point, The motor doesn't seem ultra powered or for heavy duty baking, but for a complete beginners and occasional this is fine to start with if judiciously used. The bowl has a plastic base to lock in and from other reviews I realise that there's no replacement for this one but is there for the 63325; it's brother/sister. That is completely stainless steel even at the locking base area. Another thing I noted that the bowl is deep being 4 quarts, but for my needs the 3.5Q 63325 would have been more than enough. One loaf pan of bread was at the bottom third of the bowl. (2.5 cups of flour.) Will update when I make pizza dough. That and heavy cookie dough will prove the muster of this cute stand mixer. Like I said if it lasts 2 years of my leaning curve (can't get warranty as bought "used like new"), I will be happy and graduate to another level of stand mixers. I just received it today and havent tried it yet. Bought a used like new where they said packaging would be damaged and paid 71 dollars including tax. The box looked as it was repackaged after opening previously and the white plastic cover was torn. Everything was intact and fine. So i know it has been bought and returned by someone. Some slight dust on top but i can see wasnt used. So 20 dollars less is ok. I havent baked before. Not sweet things like cakes pies etc and i want to get my hands wet with something was cheap but somewhat durable and has a name. I would progress to a Kenwood in the future. But for starting a brand new hobby this should be ok. I also have 225 W 6 speed GE hand mixer with sturdy durable beaters and dough hooks. I will write more after i try dough for roti or burritos. I wanted light and compact to keep out for my small kitchen.

Love This Product
Durable, sleek, and easy to use—this product is a fantastic value. The design fits perfectly with my kitchen setup, and its performance is powerful and reliable. It does have some weight to it, but that’s a fair trade for such quality craftsmanship!

Great bang for your buck.
I was looking for a good stand mixer without having to pay KitchenAid prices, and without cheaping out on something that was going to disappoint. This thing hits that sweet spot. Been making pizza doughs with it for several weeks now, and they come out just how I wanted them to. You might have to slightly assist the flour that is left on the sides of the bowl incorporate with a silicon spatula, since a pizza dough/hook isn’t running at a high speed setting, but that’s minimal effort for the results you’re going to get. If it can handle dense pizza doughs, I have no doubt that it can handle anything any stand mixer for twice the price can handle. Zero complaints.

Great mixer for everyday baking!
I’m really happy with this Hamilton Beach stand mixer. The 4-quart size is perfect for everyday baking, and it comes with all the attachments you need—the dough hook, flat beater, and whisk work great. I love that it has 7 speeds, so it’s easy to control for different recipes, and the splash guard is a huge help to keep things clean. The rose color is beautiful and looks great on my counter. It’s easy to use, sturdy, and does a great job mixing doughs and batters. Definitely a great value for the price!

A mixer that works without breaking the bank or my arms!
Out with the old! - I have a behemoth Kitchen Aid (KA) mixer that's only four years old. It's way too big for me. I knew it was a bad purchase shortly after I bought it but past the return date, so I tried to soldier on, but it just didn't work out. I can't see inside when I'm mixing. I have to stand on tip-toes and even then it's not great. The bowl is a pain to lock. The beaters and hook are annoying to insert and remove and the splash guard is useless. But the worst part is that it weighs a ton and it hurts my arms to lift it on to my island countertop. So I put it in a closet a while ago and stopped using it. I tried to give it away but nobody wants it. My friends either have a behemoth KA of their own, or they were smart and didn't buy the albatross to begin with. In with the new! - I wanted to bake for Christmas, so I bought this one. The reviews used all the right buzz words I was looking for, so I gave it a try. GREAT decision! It's very light weight. I can lift it, move it and store it with ease. The bowl and beaters attach easily and aren't annoying to insert and remove. It's not too big, so I can easily see inside when I'm mixing. I LOVE the splash guard, it sits and fits correctly and does its job correctly. It's easy on and easy off. No effort. Hooray for an awesome mixer that does the job without breaking the bank, or my arms! I have already used it a dozen times and would recommend it over a KA any day.

I can't find anything good to say about this mixer
Last April (18 months ago), the motor in my 25-year old KitchenAid burned out. I decided at the time that I just couldn't spend $300 on a replacement. I headed to Amazon to search for a cheaper replacement. This one had good ratings and was sub $100, so I ordered it based on solid reviews, and this in the product description: SAME MIXING ACTION AS KITCHENAID STAND MIXERS*: Don't pay hundreds of dollars more than you need to for the same mixing performance. Get the same planetary mixing action as the high-priced brand and spend your savings on fancy ingredients instead. THOROUGH MIXING AND COMPLETE BOWL COVERAGE. As you mix, each attachment rotates around the entire bowl as it spins at your selected speed. This planetary mixing action ensures that ingredients are mixed thoroughly and provides complete bowl coverage. This is NOTHING like KitchenAid quality. My first complaint pertains specifically to "THOROUGH MIXING and COMPLETE BOWL COVERAGE." Perhaps I received a defective beater or bowl, but there is ALWAYS about 1/4"+ of dough or batter or whatever clinging to the bowl (bottom and sides, but mostly bottom) that has to be incorporated by hand. So frustrating when the unincorporated ingredients include butter or shortening. It never gets distributed properly after the fact. A couple of months ago, the notches that hold the bowl in place broke off, so I now have to hold the bowl in place by hand. My kids put the paddle attachment in the dishwasher, and now --even after hand washing and wiping with a Mr. Clean-- the paddle colors my dough a faint shade of gray. Today, the lift button (just a push button) became stuck in the up/released position. I have tried WD-40. No luck. If I want to keep using this mixer (which I don't), I will have to set heavy books on top to hold the rm down. That's super inconvenient when I constantly have to stop the mixer and lift the arm to scrape unincorporated ingredients from the side. Maybe my mixer was just defective, but I have hated it from the beginning. I am not a heavy user - a batch of cookies or cupcakes or muffins each week - and I figured this would be fine. It was not. I had no idea how much I appreciated the quality and reliability of my KitchenAid until I got this one. The cookie dough that finally killed it today had only a cup and a half of flour in the whole recipe. I can't imagine what would happen if I attempted bread.

for occasional bakers, this mixer does everything you need!
not complicated to use. it's your basic mixer, and you can bake many cake recipes with it. have not tried it yet using hamburger meat, but i imagine it will be good to use for blending ingredients with the ground meat. the baking enthusiast will be happy with this mixer's features. i like the whisk and the paddle hook. good size, comes with a deep bowl so sometimes you won't need to use the splash guard at all! the different speeds make for efficient handling.
