It works as described.
I only used this once so far but it worked perfectly. I was able to plug in a 220v Single phase machine from China and run it with this transformer plugged into a standard 120v outlet in the US. It was quiet and had no issues. It was a good purchase.

Heavy
My wife received a vacuum cleaner as a gift from her uncle. Unfortunately, it was made for the Korean market and had the wrong type of plug for use in the USA, not to mention the voltage of the machine. It sat in the box for 21 years until I saw this ELC T Series 3000+ Watt Voltage Converter Transformer - Step Up/Down and realized it was exactly what I needed. Easy set up - plug it in, turn it on. The vacuum cleaner worked like a charm, no circuit breakers were blown, nothing overheated, no fires or sparks. I call that a success. Be sure to check your requirements carefully, as there are similar looking machines that don't do the same thing.

Heavy duty
Bought this to use for with a Vitamix blender is Europe and has worked great. It's heavy, and not pretty to look at, but I know this can handle anything. Comes with enough adapters that I know I've got the product that will work anywhere I have to travel to. Best for moving to places, or for industrial work. This is not for vacations unless you pack heavy like you're moving the entire band and all their equipment. Owned for about 6 months.

works well and did exactly what we needed
This worked great and completely solved a huge issue when we brought a Dyson air wrap from australia to america. We live between the two countries so it’s hard to deal with the change in voltage. It has plenty of voltage for the step up from US 110 to the Australian 220 required to get the air wrap and hair dryer to work. It weighs about 10 pounds and it just sits on a shelf in my wardrobe and it is essentially an extension of the outlet. It’s great and saved me having to buy another $700+ Dyson for when we’re in America.

Internally wired wrong
I bought two of these and have the same problem on both. Unfortunately I didn't bother to check them until my return window had closed... On the 220 outlet, with 115v selected as the input voltage, you should get 220v/240v on a meter touching the L to N sockets. It does. From L to Ground you should get 110v/120v. It gets 220/240v. From N to Ground you should get 110v/120v. It gets 0v. I read another review by SDBob on May 16th, titled, "Use Caution" where I believe he is describing the same problem. He says the solution is to switch the white and black wires internally. Have looked internally and am not comfortable doing that without having it looked at by someone with more electrical knowledge than me but seems like that may not be the right solution on my two from what I can see. Very disappointing and I will not be buying or recommending any more of this brand. If the vendor wants to reach out and give me advice on rewiring this with some photo exchanges I would upgrade my review to 3 stars but otherwise 1 star is generous because it just plane does not work and I worry it could damage equipment that gets plugged into it.

Fixed
I purchased a air conditioner and didn’t look at the plug I have 110 outlets and the plug is 220😩.i was told by many hardware stores.that I could never use it .Amazon too the rescue I was able to purchased this product and got it the next day .It works ,the only complaint I have is the small button on the back of the box that set the voltage it doesn’t stay in ,when it come out the air conditioner stops, but I found a simple solution and it works. Thanks to the converter box I am chilling.!!!!

Funciona Muy Bien
El Convertidor trabaja muy bien y no se calienta. Me a sido muy útil para convertir de 120V a 240V
