Purchased this to replace the original cord which has lasted approximately 10 years. This is the exact same cord that comes with the original purchase of the salt lamp. Fits right into position without any problems. Excellent product.

Perfect replacement part

Love it. I love this because I can place the bulb higher in the salt lamp because it does not have the disc on the bottom that would not allow you to move the fixture higher in the lamp. This allows better light dispersement in larger lamps. Mine is 20# + very happy

Good price... especially with the rheostat in the switch assembly Easy... I screwed our bulb in and the light was easily and securely inserted into the lamp. It was actually a big improvement over the original socket/switch/cord assembly So good... that yesterday I ordered another to install in a second lamp!

Bought this Cord to swap out the existent brown Cord of a Himalayan pearl white salt lamp that is in my bathroom. Although this Cord has a dimmer switch and is of the same length ,it does not match the quality of the lamp's original cold.That being said,this white Cord makes my lamp look so much better.

We bought two of these as replacements for salt lamps in our bedroom because of their dimming function and they worked OK for about a year or so. One day we came home and there was a strong smell of burning plastic throughout our house. We traced it to the bedroom where one of the lamp bases was smoking slightly and beginning to melt. (Both lamps were switched completely off at the time.) We quickly unplugged it and threw it away and thought everything was OK until two days later, when the other lamp base started smoking and melting as well. It's particularly troubling because these worked fine for months until suddenly they didn't. We didn't switch to different bulbs and there were no other reasons we could think of why both cords started malfunctioning at more or less the same time. We're just lucky we were home when this happened - a few more minutes or hours and who knows what could have happened. This has happened to at least one previous reviewer on here. Amazon should remove this listing before it happens to someone else. In the meantime, please don't take a chance on this product. It might work OK for a while but there's no telling when it will break, with potentially catastrophic results.

The finger wheel or rotary switch keeps coming off and has since it arrived. Pain in the rear. Prices keep going up and quality keeps going down. Chinese quality is designed to meet a minimum level of standard, so we get to keep buying this junk over and over again, and each time the quality is worse. I didn't ask to return it, since I needed it, but I most certainly should have. Oh well, I will probably get to buy another one real soon. Wouldn't it be nice to have a choice other than China for most all our products?

Cost of the product was more than a whole new salt lamp with cord

Using it for my Himalayan light salt lamp, however could use for other lamps too. Love the dimming feature.
