Sounstream quality in a compact package
Installed this to the underside of the center console lid in my '95 Wrangler. Fit perfectly! Drives my Rugged Ridge 6 speaker sound bar and 2 JBL GTO6428 4X6"s for excellent mids and highs as well as the 2 down fire Kicker 10" subs from American Sound Connection for incredibly "tight" bass. All from one "mini" amp. I have not had any issues with the amp overheating or "clipping" that other reviews have mentioned and my amp is in a very small space with almost no air circulation.Pros:5 channel - Drive entire system with a single amp.Built in adjustable High & Low pass filters - Keep your speakers within their optimum frequency response range and reduce distortion.Remote Control for bass boost. - Adjust on the go. Great for amps installed in a hard to reach area.Seperate Gain adjustments for "front", " rear", and "subs" - Remember that "gain" is NOT VOLUME! It is meant to properly match the line level voltage from your receiver. The higher the "gain" the more distortion is introduced. If you want it louder, you will need an amp with more wattage (and a larger space to install it).Cons:No low (RCA) inputs - Pig tails are supplied with the amp. This makes your "gain" adjustment all the more important.Overheating - I don't have this issue but , some have mentioned it in their own reviews.Inputs and adjustments are on the same side - Good for a more simplified installation but it makes it more difficult to adjust the HPFs, LPF, and Gains. At least in my case it did because I installed the amp upside down and was limited with ways to run my wires. This amp is perfect for the setup I choose, providing absolutely ear pleasing sound. It delivers crisp clean highs, perfectly pitched mids, and NOSE TICKLING bass. I have used Soundstream products for over 15 years without a single issue and highly recommend them, including this amp.Enjoy!

Amazing little amp
I ended up using this amp in my Honda Element to replace the underwhelming factory amp. This amp is tiny but cranks out some really impressive power. I have it running JBL club series components in front, 2-ways in back, and a Kicker 6.75" sub in the factory enclosure. It fits under the seat with a little bit of trimming of the plastic under there, and sounds WAY better than I thought I'd ever hear in that toaster of a car. I was a little skeptical since there have been so many big car audio brands from the 90s that were snatched up and now sell junk, but Soundstream apparently isn't one of them. The only negatives I can think of are that I don't care for the way the RCAs and bass remote plug in, but on an amp this small there just wouldn't be room for that many connections. They're a little bit on the fiddly side but they're effective.

Quality sound, good power, and small form factor
I finally upgraded my 2001 car audio system. This was my first time to install any stereo components and I had a small budget to work with. I bought the Soundstream amp because it was 5 channels, decent power ratings, and had a small form factor to fit into a compartment in my trunk. It is powering Sound Ordnance components in the front, Alpine coaxials in the rear, and a 10" sub. I'm impressed. The sound is very clean with enough power to get loud enough. The sub is wired at 2 ohms and the 350 watts makes it hit pretty hard. The price and quality is great. The RCA harnesses are the only part that seems vulnerable to breaking because the wires are so thin. Just be careful installing and it should be fine as long as it isn't bumped or fiddled with too much.

Small package big punch!
Lets get real. This isnt a high dollar audiophile 5 channel amplifier. What it is though is a very capable 5 channel amp for those not wanting to sacrifice their wallet to get more power to decent speakers.I laugh at people spending 50 bucks on speakers and 600 on a quality amp or vice versa and complaining that one or the other is crap because they spent so much money. Pair the right equipment and youll get the sound quality you pay for.Used this on a budget build for a jeep with a factory head unit and non upgraded system. If you know anything about the base stereo in jeeps, its atrociously bad. I upgraded the stock speakers with the kicker mopar speakers and bought a cheap ported box for an old clarion 10" competition sub (10 yrs old). I installed this amp by splicing directly into the speaker output off the head unit. Results: Much much louder. The sound quality is not audiophile quality but definitely acceptable. The sub power is more the adequate and and rocks that 10 much harder than I expected and pretty darn clean.Heat has been a non-issue so far but havent had it cranked for hours so thats still up in the air. Install was clean and no issue. Used 8ga for power and ground(good 8ga). Probably would have used 4ga but I had the 8ga on hand alreadyOverall for what this amp costs, it's well worth the price for a 5 channel amp if installed correctly and used as intended.
